It is most definitely the one I have been waiting for. Everything I have seen thus far suits my taste perfectly.
I loved the first one, but the second one was a let down. I am really liking what I see thus far with III, though. The environment is a definite improvement and the prospect of becoming king at mid-point of the game is very appealing. As when you become ruler in most games, it is at the end.
I really think that III is going to recapture some of the magic that I felt from the first one, but build on it more than II did. No, Fable is not a some deep RPG, I just love the seri...

I actually like the sound of this. All I mainly care about is playing online and getting demos, which will remain free, but these are features that actually appeal to me. I am sold, if this is indeed the plan.
I saw this coming from a mile away. People act like GOW invented the third person action/adventure genre. I guess every shooter is a clone of Wolfestein and Doom, if we follow this logic.
Even if a game does model it's gameplay after GOW, does that mean it is automatically a bad game? Dante's Inferno was certainly modeled after GOW in terms of gameplay, but it was actually a great game. However, due to it's similarity to GOW, it was trashed.

Just go WATCH SOME GAMEPLAY of the PS3 version. I have the PS3 version and all of these blurred shots that have been floating around are nothing but fanboy FUD, plain and simple. Seeing the game being played tells the tale, so nobody is going to tell me any different. The game looks great and runs great on the PS3. I know...because I have it.

It would be great for the Wii. I for one want good games on all platforms. We are the ones who benefit in the end.
If you want to play PS2 games, play/buy a PS2...problem solved, lol. Why in the hell would anyone not want a PS3 simply because there is no longer BC for PS2 games? I personally have full BC on mine, but it would not stop me from buying one that did not have it. Because I wanted a PS3 so I could play PS3 games, not PS1 and PS2 games. Sorry excuse, if there ever was one.
Why give 5 reasons, when there is only one that really tells it all? Your a FANBOY who will not play anything unless it is associated with Microsoft. I have been all over this game and knew it would be an under the radar gem. Just picked my copy up for PS3. Cannot wait to experience it, myself.

I am not buying another damn tv just so I can have the latest trend in 3D. Buying the consoles and the games to play is expensive enough as it is. A line must be drawn somewhere. For those that have the money to burn...have fun.
This game is going to be a lot better than many give it credit for. I have watched nearly the entire game on a stream and there parts of it that are brilliant. Nothing else like it out right now, that is for certain.
Anything over a 7 is considered a 'good' game in my book. Actually, a better score than I was thinking it would get. Still very much looking forward to it.

EDIT* Gestalt hardly looks like Marcus Fenix, he just is built. Regardless, it is hardly another mindless save the planet from the aliens shooter. So, theory still intact.
From what I have seen, it is a hell of a lot more original that most regurgitated crap that is coming out now days. Maybe if it had a space marine in oversized armor killing aliens in first person you would dig it.
I watched a stream of it last night and this game is unlike anything I have ever seen before. It is like a Zeldaesque action RPG with 3D bullet hell set in a Steam Punk crossed with a Dark Fantasy setting. It also shifts from 3D to 2D side scroller to isometric view seamlessly at various points in the game. Great art design, fantastic music, great voice acting, epic boss fights, it ran smoothly and the visuals are a lot better than what we have seen as well.

Beings it is cheap, one could hardly complain. I love hack n' slash games and scantily clad sword weilding women, so I'll probably check it out at some point. Thongs of War FTW!
