@sonarus - when talking about Kinectless SKU and MS lies that Kinect was necessary for X1 to work, then sure I agree. However, try reading what I said, basically when using Kinect everything is much faster. Added speed isn't 'necessary' for the author or others, but it is for me, so IMO even though the point about lies is correct, the actually necessitiy of it is subjective and I lean the other way.
I'm buying a PS4 in 2015, and I'm not trading in my X1. I have had an awesome time with X1, the authors reasoning is entirely subjective.

Yea I somewhat agree, I'm not fully on board yet... waiting to see first. I do like the idea though, you'll get to play games you'd never purchase, which in turn you may actually enjoy. 10% off and early access is also nice.
I agree with your premise although it's GDDR5, DDR5 doesn't exist yet. DDR RAM is much better for OS functionality than GDDR, I expect that was part of the 'justification' of going with DDR3, and eSRAM for high bandwidth.
Personally I think the only chance MS have is go cheaper on the console, and push a better value service, I can't see true performance parity at all this generation... things like EA Access might turn out a great avenue.
360 has a better GPU and RAM, the PS3 has a better processor... Flip that around PS4 has a better GPU and RAM, the processors are virtually the same.
It's not that much different, plus the irony is, you're basically saying the PS4 has an alleged estimate of 30-50% better overall performance than a "scrawny little weakling".

A good external hard drive speeds up everything... much faster install times and games load up to 2x quicker. A workaround, not a solution.

If I'm honest my console 'switched on' time went from 2-3hrs a day last gen with 360/PS3, to 10-12hrs a day with Xbox One.
