really beautiful. music is a little evocative of last of us though... makes me wish this were a sparse, mostly deserted zombie apocalypse game set in that time frame and not what it looks like it actually is...
thoughtful and well written review. killzone will have to serve its role as the eye candy appetizer for the real meat and potatoes to come from the likes of naughty dog and santa monica (or even sucker punch and ready at dawn...). and sweet gorgeous eye candy it is. but alas, just candy...
great point. but I will say that I am disappointed to hear so far that, though guerilla had set out to create a serious singleplayer story, it doesn't quite reach COD4 or Halo levels of dramatics. i'm still super excited to play the game and see its visuals with my own eyes nonetheless.
But it's a creatively interesting world games live in now where writing and level design are so important. and in this case, it seems the art and engineering were top notch, but th...
Very reminiscent of the GT5 slip. Definitely sounds legit, especially given the person saying it...
how the?
gaikai ftw
i'll take a hot steamy launch night over an ugly one any day of the week... launch season is sort of all about the flings isn't it? old faithfuls are still there as well, but happy that a game at launch looks the part at least (same could not be said for the PS3 launch as we all know)
yeah, fighting for the remote will take on a whole new meaning...
Haha! Xbox minis... Love it.
xiii-2 definitely surprised me for the better. i know I may be in the minority, but I'm glad to revisit the world and see it wrap up, especially with more lightning as a badass
most of it is probably a cache/buffer to make sure that any disc game you grab always has enough space to run...
i don't know how you guys deal... talk about a tease... i know i'm gonna go crazy watching my download status; but that will only be minutes. can't imagine how ridiculous it would be to see the game RIGHT THERE in your hands and not be able to play it...
yeah, i think i'm gonna have to start getting into blackout mode now. i've never been more sold. has to be one of the most impressive launch titles ever... goodness gracious
jenga! ha!
good times good times...
That's funny. I could've sworn they said the same thing about Resistance: Fall of Man when the PS3 launched... It's too bad that franchise didn't sell better... Insomniac deserved better. And now they're stuck trying to make an X1 exclusive that probably can't run better than 720p/20...
dat OLED. I'm sure the new LCDs are pretty good, too. but that OLED and its super deep black levels make all the difference in a dark room. makes me wish I had an OLED TV...
sweet deal!
ah, that's better.
i completely disagree. tech sites have been reviewing and putting scores on hardware like cell phones and computers for years, regardless of what software updates may come to them. PC gamers have been benchmarking and rating their hardware as well since the dawn of time... I do agree that I'd love to see the PS4 run through even more technical benchmarks in these reviews like video quality, framerates, temperatures, power consumption, etc. Data is always more interesting than scores to me...
