@ricochetmg what's so funny? he's right. x1s are available. they often are. not for forever, but for a while.
the blue would be a bit more distracting to me than the clean white. i get what you're saying; and it would be a neat touch if they let you customize the 'on' status color for people like yourself. but as the default, i have absolutely no issue with the very clean white look.
i kinda like seeing my trigger fingers all blue or red, etc when i look down. i of course want better battery life, but i have no problem with the little light bar in and of itself.
not wrong. but given that their direct competitors do not make such requirements, it is either arrogant, insecure, or just stupid. there's nothing morally wrong about restrictions. they can do what they want.... but that they wanted to do this, especially in light of the already known policies of their competition, is what's so shocking.

I get a little crumbly crumbiness on my left stick, too! it's super microscopic and not noticeable and not an issue, but for some reason only my left stick has the issue. I'm pretty sure it is completely because of Resogun. Love that game.
i've had about 3 singleplayer game crashes on BF4 on PS4 during my 5 or so hours in the campaign (almost done). nothing drastic like save game losses or anything (yet, knock on wood). it's definitely a BF4 issue more than PS4 though. None of the other games have had any issue: COD, Resogun, NBA2K, Knack, AC4, Shadow Fall, Flower, etc.

if people were willing, they would have shown up to ebay with just as much money and been willing to pay for the xbox one for as much, if not more. demand is demand... it is very very hard to deny which console is in more demand right now. the data, the anecdotes from stores, the amazon listings... X1 is doing great and not failing at all. But Sony's really crushing right now. Either way, the console games industry is very much alive and well and we should all be glad for that.
driveclub launch date slip?
skype seems solid on x1. but voice controls, i don't know... more controls are not always better. ps4's voice controls are there, but thankfully don't need a degree in kinectology
and i think people overly penalize PS4's launch lineup for the lack of Drive Club and the averageness of Killzone's gameplay/story. Given the superior experience to be had with most 3rd party games, you might as well add those to the PS4 game lineup. And that Resogun. Happily my first platinum of next gen.
not just power. there's an elegance, practicality and modesty to how everything is presented and implemented right now. there are some minor tweaks that will help in terms of the UI, but you never feel like they are trying to stuff some half baked feature fart fest on you. some of the subtle features i LOVE:
- superfast trophy sync and compare
- superfast swapping to home and game (incl suspend/resume from game to netflix/movie and back)
- 3.5mm headset jack with e...
why would you do that and make it impossible to do background downloads/updates and controller charging?
COD allows you to swap back as well, though I noticed my fingers and hands getting much more stiff and tired using the DS3 method vs. the natural triggers the DS4 now 'wants' you to use. I prefer having all my fingers on buttons, but got used to the switch after a while and prefer it now (vs. the fatigue I had with COD).
Can't say I absolutely prefer it to what we had on DS3, but it is kind of nice to pull a trigger for a gun for what it's worth...

at least all the cars are accessible through gameplay unlike those money-only car packs its rival is promoting...
