This is more like throwing the present through your bedroom window.
Agree. I can't wrap my head around the idiots who don't think this is an issue. They have to be kids who use their parent's internet.
35gb for an update is most definitely NOT normal. It's ridiculous and shows that ID doesn't know how to deploy patches for their own software. Instead of redownloading the entire game they should set it up to only download what you don't have yet. That's normal and it's what most MMO's do throughout their l...
LOL at the fanbois downvoting obvious truth.
Nintendo manipulates demand by using artificial scarcity. It's a basic marketing tactic and they've been doing it for years and years. Anyone trying to get a certain amiibo or one of their classic consoles knows this is the truth.
How do you explain them not producing enough NES classics when there was such huge demand? Let me quote one of the guys above "Bowser must be stealing the blueprints"...
This is true. It's mind-boggling to me that they might only ship 20 million the first year. For a mainline console on a worldwide release? They should have shipped 20 million the first month. They could sell 100 million easily in the first year if they manufactured enough of them. The demand is there.
They're going to be selling out every month for the next 2 or 3 years I think. No one will be able to find one anywhere because Nintendo wants to play this game with s...
It's not solved, and it's not even a workaround.
Switch online service will suck and only a handful of idiots will actually use it. When I play games, I am not talking on my phone. When I talk on my phone, I am not playing games.
If Nintendo wanted to sell us online they would have built voice chat into the console. They didn't, so they do not and will not have an online service worth any amount of money per month. As it is, it's not even ...
"duh" was the first thing that came to mind. A research analyst shouldn't have had to tell us this.
The xbox fanbois will flood these comments telling you otherwise though.
I'm looking forward to 2017 and 2018 sales figures. I expect there will be a lot of very sad and upset trolls.
Rest assured, they won't make enough of them.
Nintendo = scalper paradise
Interesting idea but I wonder if this could give rise to something more, like a lucid dreaming device? I always wanted one of those but they are either really expensive, or uncomfortable, or don't work quite right, or all three.
I imagine they could have tilesets for Zelda 1, Zelda 2, and Link to the Past at least. Maybe also from the gameboy games too.
I would love to make a Zelda 2 level or even a whole world. I played that a lot as a kid.
It's more than that. They raise a big point with the one x and 4k support. What portion of the gaming market already have 4k tv's? I don't. Most everyone I know doesn't. They're too expensive especially when I and everyone else already own 1080p displays and we can't tell the difference between 1080p and 4k.
Who is going to buy an expensive console AND an expensive television to get the full experience? Especially when the competition has a new lower...
For $450.
Even retailers are scalping this console. This just makes me not want to buy things from Wal-Mart.
For 5 months? Sorry, no. That's not a good answer.
There's been more than enough time for the parts manufacturer to increase production. Hell Apple should have come out with a new phone by now.
Touchscreen controls on a home console was a bad idea. I'm glad to see this put down.
Only 2 Wii U games interested me. Mario Maker and Hyrule Warriors. Hopefully these are brought to the Switch.
The homebrew channel on the Wii was quite extensive and for a while offered more things than the official Wii Shop channel did.
It will be interesting how this works out for the Switch. Will the Switch homebrew channel be bigger and better? It would be very enticing to get it if so.
It's not actually in stock.
Every time I see one of these articles, it's not in stock. I can only guess that the moment it does go up for sale online, it's sold out within minutes.
WTF. Why can't Nintendo make enough to meet demand? This has been going on for months!
I perused the reddit thread and the wiki page for project titan. It's a whole lot of hype and no details whatsoever. Pretty much the same thing as NMS's launch. This must be what Sean Murray is good for. He's not a game developer, he's a game hyper-upper.
I see no reason to go back and try it again.
Nintendo's online model is absolutely stupid. Why pay them money each month so you can use your phone to chat with your friends? You should instead not pay Nintendo money each month and use whatsapp to chat with your friends. It's the exact same experience, but for free!
Anyone buying this should be drug into the street and shot. This level of stupidity is intolerable.
If Nintendo wanted to charge for online service they should have incorporated t...
If you still need to use a mouse and keyboard it defeats the purpose of streaming your PC to your handheld. This is the stupidest thing ever. Just play it on the PC!
When this came out people called this "Nintendo's Skyrim" and it seems the analogy still holds true. Remember horse armour? Elder Scrolls does the same thing.
I didn't play Skyrim until years later when the GOTY edition came out and had all the DLC included. I think I will do the same for Breath of the Wild.
Do we really need a knock-off of NMS?
Really?
