The tech demo was meant to show some of the ideas that Lionhead and Microsoft have been working on. The lighting, depth of field, smoothing of edges and compression issues are just some of the things that have them excited. If any of it actualy makes it into a game remains to be seen BUT everything that is discovered by Microsoft is passed on to the developers that are making games on the 360.

The demo beta was 1.6 gb's for 2 multi-player maps? 5 gb seems kinda small TBH?
Just saw this video at another thread. It's the 360 version and the game is said to be quite long with a lot of different environments. Looks like Crytek has some secret compression skills.

Why even talk about Killzone 3. It's laughable how bad KZ 3 is up against Crysis 2 0n 360/PS3 ( yes PS3 ) let alone on a maximum setting PC.

Gears is accommodating it's fan base which has female gamers. I don't get where there is an issue. I think Rods explanation says it all.
GRAW 2 has female options as well. My only concern is if they are given perks like taken extra damage and such. Many GRAW 2 players used the female avatar's because they can take extra hits, not a good thing. They should be exactly the same save for appearance.

This game looks pretty bad on both systems. Still, I've read that it can be fun on line when you can get on line. I may rent this in a couple of months when they figure out how to fix it.

Can anyone confirm if this is the 360 version or PC. I know what the title says but the explosions alone look very advance with the particle effects and all.

I for one would not of bought this game if it was open world. Talk about repetitive, RDR is one of the most repetitive games ever made.
Alan wake is a third person shooter first and foremost and a great one at that. People thought this game was going to be like Heavy Rain or something with NO GAME PLAY. Heavy Rain could be played on a DS or PSP.

M$ spent a boatload of money on the Japanese market with really nothing to show for it. I think M$ has learned ( the expensive hard way ) there lesson but who knows. Nobody is buying those Japanese games...not even the Japanese.
Things might change with Kinect. The Tokyo game show had an incredible among of games coming in 2011 for Kinect that actually might sell really well in the states and elsewhere...wait and see I guess.

On topic: whatever they are working on better have some sort of multi-player component. Obviously he's hinting at Kinect compatibility which should make any potential fans of this game nervous unless it's optional.

One of the titles I'm really hoping releases this year is Ghost recon. Graw 2 multi-player is a personal favorite and I'm hoping for some fresh gameplay...I am a little worried about all the space age weaponry tho...

...it hasn't been since this gen began. Sony continues to make mistake after mistake and the sales reflect that. Just look at 2010 and how bad that year was if you owned a PS3...I know, I own one. NOW they want everyone to buy a 3D tv with $150.00 glasses...do these guy's never learn.
At this point, 2011 is looking great for PS3 only owners...great line up of exclusives for the system but it came at the expense of the 2010 line up and what will they have left for 2012.....
Sony is just trying to capitalize on the whole wikileaks panic right now. Saying how they have been wrong and its the fault of hackers and the Internet.

Alan Wake 2 is in production but I doubt you will see the game until 2012. AW suffered severely from pirating and information recently disclosed showed that it was one of the most pirated game on 360...over a MILLION downloads. What was the most pirated game...COD?...Halo?...nope, how about Dante's inferno at 1.5 million...ouch.
Alan Wake was a fantastic game that needs to offer some co-op/ horde mode on line type of action to break through on the XBL heavy system.
...are all great games and I really enjoyed what they had to offer.
Alan Wake really needed a multi-player component to make a dent in the XBL heavy 360 community...one of the best looking and playing games this gen...

The game was designed to let the player decide how he wanted to attack the levels. Great replay value in this title with a great story and fantastic game play.
The older SC were ok with Chaos theory being considered the best playing and looking one. Chaos Theory was " the " game that all the PC magazines used to test the new graphics cards of that era.
As for Conviction...I loved it and will never sell it or trade it in. It could be had for very reasona...

Halo is in Great hands. E3 will have a lot Halo info and will show what they have planned for the next few years.
I hope they don't fall into an analysis paralysis and just get it done. I believe they will but lets change it up a bit. Defiant map pack Vidoc has some interesting info.
