I remember reading about Gears, how they convinced M$ do go with more memory by demoing the game for them to show them the difference. M$ later called it the Billion dollar add on. How M$ almost went with Valve and Half life 2 had it not been for Valve's infamous history with delaying games. They went with Epic and little Cliffy b.
There was rumors everywhere about this new game that Epic had. Monsters that lived underground and rifles with chainsaws...WHAT!!...

I really wish that M$ would of kept the Mech-assault franchise going. That game had some of the best graphics on Xbox 1. They showed a game play CGI ( I think it was CG ) in 2009 and never heard of it again.
Trenched and Hawken will have to do for now.

You can make all the excuses you want for EA and Dice, they sure haven't stop making excuses.
They lied and deceived everybody by claiming their game was going to be something that it is not.
Sony did the same thing at the start of this gen with all the CGI they were showing claiming that the games were going to look that way. Killzone, 8 days and Motorstorm to name a few and those games were nothing like that and still nowhere near that level of ...

Uncharted 1 didn't even have multi-player, I guess it set the bar for no multi-player...lol...and Uncharted 2 set the bar for the most cut scenes in a game. You can`t jump off a ledge or even turn a door handle with out triggering a cut scene. I buy ALL multi-plats on 360...learned that lesson a long time ago. Best controller by far, best on-line and best OS...no comparison. The PS3 has a nice selection this year with Resistance being the one game that will be day one.
In regards to all the talk about graphics up above, Crysis 2 will be tough to beat on consoles this year. Gears 3 also looks incredible. I don`t want anymore excuses from Dice, I don`t see how their game will be able to top this...

Then they show some fancy pants, pie in the freaking sky, too good to be true, if your happy and you know it, 1080p 60fps footage and acted like that was how the game was going to look...O_o

The 360 is as easy as pie to code for. Dice made Mirrors edge and that had a custom Unreal 3 lighting solution which I'm sure they adopted to their own Frostbite 2 engine...you know, after they copied the Unreal 3 tech and now call it their own...O_o
MOH had a couple of levels with amazing draw distance and lighting which I believe came from Dice ( they were asked to help ) and their upgraded Unreal 3...

Tomb raider was one of the biggest surprises of E3...lol...the only complaints have been from certain fanboys of a particular console who prefer the manly grunts of Uncharted's Drake. It's not everyday that you hear people complaining about a girl grunting...o_O...unless???

Blu-ray wasn't needed and it definitely won't be needed next gen Nintendo won't be there and I doubt M$ will pay Sony either. The Blu-ray drive has been a boat anchor on Sony's profits. The games are not any longer in length, other than those that are built around cut-scenes like L.A Noire and even then, last I checked it has sold more on 360 than PS3, 3 discs and all...lol...Blu-ray is a rip off and because of market manipulations, the price of DvD's never real...

WoW, since E3 it's excuses and more excuses. First Johnny boy at EA was like Booby Kotick thinks that the E3 footage was PC then he is in real trouble, then it was console footage would be shown on the Jimmy Fallon show for the first time...O_o...then all the excuses of why the PS3 footage looked no different than an Xbox 1 game from 2004. Now it's something else, 60 fps is to hard and resource sapping...lol.

The PC is not a closed system. EVERY PC is different. The Xbox 360 version will be the most consistent version of Witcher 2 and it will be the same across ALL 360 consoles.

Unless you want to relive the nightmare that is the PS3 development cycle this gen, you have to have middleware solutions available for devs who want to make games on you system. If you want to have games that take full use of your system at launch, then it's CRITICAL, at the very least, to give them a couple years notice...it's here.
M$ launched the redesigned 360 S at E3 2010 and it went on sale right away. The new console will be no different.
