So people who buy games aren't normal?
It's why the world is falling apart financially.
The credit crunch came about because of loan followed by loan followed by much more loans over in the US with the housing market. It's travelled here to the UK and worldwide too, the banks are crumbling under the weight of this almost-recession.
The 360 may be cheap at face value but the smart people save up and buy a PS3. You don't need to worry about any extra fees, just paying for your normal house bills and interne...
Personally, I think the service should have an annual or monthly fixed fee without a fixed annual contract. By that I mean you pay upfront and get money back if you drop out.
For example, if on the annual fee, you game for 10 months and two weeks, you then get one month's worth back because you started the 11th month. That's the way it should work, but it appears as though that's not the case. I should go to Microsoft and put that down in words they can understand. Charging someo...
Not everyone speaks English, in fact English is a little way down the 'most-spoken languages table'...
The day Breakfast is serious is the day the Earth will explode.
We stand now on the brink of sinking into this 'console war' even further. Fanboyism is running rife and now it's just about to get even worse.
Calling games flops based on them getting sub 7/10 scores is pathetic. A game scoring less than 3/10 is a flop because that means it's mediocre and has nothing for anyone to enjoy. A 7/10 means the game is good but not amazing (Rental or Purchase). 8/10 is brilliant but could be better (Recommended purchase). 9/10 is an almost perfect gam...
...so in that sense the comparison is very valid, although it's more of a fanboyism-based comparison really. Comparing a game based on it flopping sounds like a fanboy's comparison don't you think?
I haven't played Too Human, don't own a 360 and so won't be, but if people liked the demo a review won't stop them from buying the game, in all honesty. I gave up with listening to reviews once Bioshock got 10's, then GTA4 got solid 10's... the review system is not what it used to be. ...
However, the Q6600 Quadcore is the same price as an E6750 Dualcore and the Q6600 outperforms many duals in gaming including the E6850.
Games will take advantage of Quad cores in the future. It'll be mainly RTS's I think. Universe at War, Supreme Commander and some other games support multicores and make good use of them.
Quads are better at processing, they help with things like compressing and uncompressing files and really reduce the waiting time, however in games ...
I went for a Quad because I wanted to play Supreme Commander (A game that requires a Quad really for the complete experience both offline and online).
Quads are so much more futureproof than Duals. My friend has a dualcore system and within a year games will be taking more advantage of quads so if you have the choice, at this point in time, get a quadcore system to protect yourself in the future.
Basically, if a game supports mutli-threading and Quad core systems it ...
Quads need to be supported in games as standard. I know Supreme Commander fully supports quads and that's an awesome game! The best RTS out there imho, but more games need to get in on the action with Quads and show support for it.
This isn't a case of processor tech moving too quickly, but software not moving quickly enough. Games can do so much more on a Quad system with support.
Home is indeed something special and will be well worth the wait! It will put XBL to shame, I can honestly say that now, it's better than I originally thought.
Btw, all Beta testers are under an agreement drawn up by Sony to not mention or show any of the features of Home to those not involved in the Beta, doing so can get you banned. I will keep saying this to prevent more people leaking vids like this. Home is being tested and isn't final, so by leaking footage all you'll do is...
If you're in the Beta, putting up screenshots is against the Home users agreement. What's in Home stays in Home, putting up screenshots like this can get you banned from the Beta. The YouTube incident a while ago got those testers banned, video footage or screenshots of the Beta are not allowed.
You should not share the features of Home in anyway, unless you are sharing them with that of another Beta tester. Any form of discussion over features, suggestions, improvements, or just...
Sony will be releasing Home in 08, definitely.
They're releasing it as a global open beta, because Home will never be finished, it's a constant project that'll keep improving.
...and got in. So it's not solely based on that.
The US invites are based on people going into the Store and downloading a theme. The EU invites are based on people going into the Store or playing online for a set period of time or by frequency.
They want people that'll actually be online to try out the Beta, not people that go online once a week or never check the Store because they want people to actually help them with Home.
I got mine...
So it's 16% now?
lol does anyone honestly know what the failure rate is? It was 30% before, then 60%, now 16%, it could be 50% for all we know guys...
Most of Britain will be underwater in the far-future along with thousands of other places worldwide... unfortunately :(
Wipeout = Great game
1080p Wipeout = Excellent game
1080p 60fps Wipeout = Awesome game!
...I can't believe this article has only just popped up tbh lol!
The name 'Xbox' is so geeky, that's what this article is pointing to, it has nothing to do with what the consoles offer or what games are available guys lol. Stop bringing the 'console war' into it and being so defensive. Just chill out a bit.
The name PlayStation is much more household than the Xbox, especially when talking to non-gamers. The Wii also has such widespread fame now that the name sticks v...
