If Valve don't want to code for the PS3 as well as PC and 360 then fine, it's their loss. The PS3 numbers are already picking up and although I personally buy Valve stuff over Steam (The way it should be) I can see Valve losing out over the next few years if they refuse to budge.

As much as you may believe he's spinning a storm, he's right. There was indeed a PS3 shortage as they never expected the demand they got preorder-wise for the PS3 version. They knew the 360 version would sell and ordered a larger stockpile of the 360 version.

Have had it freeze a few times, starting to wonder if it's the disk as it sort of stalls sometimes but then continues, then locks up. It froze after I'd paused it for a while to get something to eat, came back and it'd frozen :(

Paying to get into a Beta is commonplace now, I agree. The way I think they should do it though is offer people who bought a previous game entitlement to play the next iteration before anyone else, like EA have done with C&C3: Kane's Wrath and the RA3 Beta entry codes.
