@Utalkin
Unless they changed their plan for this game; this is a 're-imagining' of the first/original R&C game from PS2.
And we're talking about Resistance remasters, etc., because it mentions 'No Plans for anything Resistance', but we want more Resistance in some form.
Frames per second isn't gameplay. I've seen a few people talking like this recently. So just to set the record straight..
Gameplay is how your character walks, runs, jumps, shoots, climbs, drives, flies, interacts with the environment, etc.
Y'know, how you Play the Game aka gameplay.
FPS is just how fluid it all looks when things are moving fast.. like you're spinning around (how smooth and clear is the background), or an expl...
As much as I would love remasters, they probably should let Resistance simmer for a while after all of the backlash from 2 & 3. While playable games, they completely alienated their original fan base (more specifically the competitive crowd) with all of the changes.
They should aim for probably 3-4 years down the line with remasters leading to a prequel set in Russia & eastern Europe called Resistance: The Angry Night.
I don't know where you guys are coming up with this 3rd person nonsense. R:FoM's multiplayer was likely the best arcade FPS ever made. They fkd up and took a ton of well deserved criticism and declining sales by changing the original formula way too much with each iteration. Now you're talking about a much bigger jump from first person to third person? Crazy talk. They had a winner with the original, but then went toward CoDification like so many others. A return to the original f...
@Xaphy
I understand backlogs and living life. I used to game a lot more in the past. Now-a-days I usually hit it hard for a week or two, then stop completely for weeks or months. I focus more and more on quality > quantity (so I don't build up much of a backlog of iffy borderline games, just the best of the best for my tastes) and I've been more patient for price drops, because I just do other things in life until they drop to a reasonable price.
My only ot...
@Taero
Again, it was $29.99 on all platforms, and the digital download version for last gen was only $19.99.
In the US:

And UK/EU:
I'd like to see the 100% completions from all of these "it's a demo" people.
Only 6.95% 100%ed the game according to those tracked on PSNProfiles.com. That's almost as rare as MGS2 & MGS4's 5.xx% platinums.
But it's just a demo.. so short ("10 minutes" apparently).. so easy.. worthless.. right?
Let's see all these 10 minute 100%s..
And still so many who somehow don't realize...
Some games are a cheap form of hard, but good ones force you to learn and use all gameplay mechanics. On easy and sometimes normal you can just run through everything, never take cover, never play defense, never learn combos, fly past everyone with ease in racing games, etc.
On the hardest difficulties you need to gas brake turn draft, etc. properly in a racing game, use stealth and cover, attack from range or flank enemies, master combos blocking parrying, etc.
Hardest for me unless I'm running through some trophies. Easy is for small children and casual/non-gamers. If you're playing on easy, you might as well just watch somebody else play. Obviously besides the experience of you controlling the action, there's usually very little challenge and therefore little to no sense of accomplishment.
I would always wonder why one of my friends back in the day would rent/buy a game and run through it on easy. He'd finish in ho...
Looks like it has potential, but the AI looks to be pretty dumb. Like 8 guys surrounding you, but it turns into a 1v1 while the others just watch until you kill him, then a new 1v1 begins while the rest watch.
It looks like it would be pretty good if the AI took cover, flanked, all tried to attack you at the same time and you had to try taking some cover, or flank them, or take them out from a distance, etc.
It looks like you can just run at a group of guys i...
Resistance 3 is crazy OVER rated as far as the franchise goes. Too many people talk about it as if it were the best in the series, when it was probably the worst. All 3 are good games, but they changed each iteration way too much instead of sticking to the original formula, which made R:FoM likely the best competitive arcade shooter of all time.
R2 had plenty of it's own issues, that I could go on for hours in detail, but I won't here. I'll list a few, such as rem...
@WTF
You understand videogame prices drop over time, correct? Your PS3 version doesn't include "plus tax" and Amazon/ BestBuy/ Gamestop/ Walmart, etc. all have the game New above $10, some upwards of $30; so you're clearly comparing a brand new sealed copy of the remastered PS4 version to a Used copy of the PS3 version. You also understand Used copies drop in price faster than New copies? So that Used PS4 copy, to make a more direct comparison, will drop to ...
Trophies need a new rule set. Things like Uncharted 3's do X 50 times online shouldn't exist. Get 10,000 kills, etc. If you can do something a few times, 5 times, or 10 times, you've shown you're capable of doing it. If you can get 1,000 kills, clearly you can get 10,000 given enough time, but the point is at some point it's not a challenge, they're just wasting people's time.
Trophies need to lean more skill based, be designed as good as possible ...
Carrying the slim in my bookbag/backpack, because it was the size of a small book and you could easily bring it to friend's houses.
Seeing the first Colossus in SotC and thinking... uhhh, are you serious, how the hell am I going to kill that thing?
Physical or gtfo, I want nothing to do with some digital download code nonsense.
Remaster every good game.
I was (and probably still am) looking forward to Oddworld: New N Tasty, but I just watched this comparison/review:
http://www.youtube.com/watc...
The reviewer is very informed and makes a lot of good points. New N Tasty seems to still be a good game, but it isn't without its flaws, especially compared to the original.
I heard Just Add Water wanted to give Metal Gear Sol...
Quality > Quantity
Ground Zeroes is fine as a stand-alone game. I got hours out of it, probably in the low 10s of hours. Don't think it's worth the $30-40 they were asking new? Great, then don't pay it. But that shouldn't have affected review scores as much as it did. I picked it up on PS4 when I saw it on sale for $10 at GameStop a long while back. The first time I bought something at GameStop in years.
There's nothing 'new' or 'dlc' about what is shown. So 2 old trailers are incorrectly labeled as DLC in the store.. this isn't news.
Jamais Vu is the Raiden mission that was timed exclusive on Xbox, but that was only for like a month I think and then came to PS in an automatic game update. And the 'Night' trailer is just gameplay of the base game at night.
@RG
I agree and disagree. I remember and liked when gaming was just about having fun. There are times when going after trophies feels a lot more like a chore than fun, but I also like that trophies give you an extra challenge and how they direct you to do things you likely wouldn't try without them.
Great games I'm buying no matter what and taking on the challenge of getting the platinum. If I can't get they platinum on them, I'm fine with a h...
Count me in for a remastered complete edition with Undead Nightmare.
Also, bloop, Heavy didn't pick. He and I want both a remaster and sequel/prequel (whereever they decide to go with the story).
Maybe do the same as Uncharted, drop the multiplayer and include a beta for 2's MP. The only thing I don't like about that is it usually uglies up the box art with the 'beta access included'.
