I also bought a Vita for PS4 remote play and it sucks sh*t with the touch controls for L2, R2, L3, and R3.
You'd think 'LogicalReason' would include some sort of thought process instead of blind defense of Sony.
I only own Sony consoles (currently PS3/PS4/Vita):

3 games this time, easily worth the full $60 retail launch price assuming they do a solid job on the remastering.
If it's just UC1, then sure, $39.99 is a nice launch price for the consumer and $49.99 would be smarter on their end to maximize profit without looking greedy, but all three (which is what I hope they do) is easily worth regular full retail price.
Here are other remasters I'd buy:

Exclusive remasters I'd buy:
*Uncharted Trilogy
*Resistance Trilogy
*Metal Gear Solid Collection (1-4)
*The Last Of Us (already coming)
*God of War Collection (all 6)
*Ico/SotC (or just an SotC remake - built for PS4)
*Heavy Rain
*Killzone (2-3)
*Ratchet & Clank Future (ToD, QfB, AciT, and maybe Nexus) and maybe the PS2 ones
Multiplat remasters I'd buy:
*BioShock Trilogy
*Half-...
I feel disconnected from buddies on PS4; having to go through extra menu(s) instead of being right on the main line. Also how you can not see when they were last online on PS4.
I prefer PS3's XMB, along with the 3x3 keyboard option for much faster typing with the controller (PS3's triggers were definitely a factor in making typing faster this way also; much easier for quick taps, which also made it good for switching through weapon wheels like on R:FoM; not saying PS3...
When they add physical L2, R2, L3, and R3 buttons for Remote Play that actually works like you're using a controller instead of crap touch controls where you don't know exactly what your fingers are going to press, if anything at all.
That's when you can buy a Vita (or its successor). At the moment, his first point about remote play is the worst point.
Sony knows physical buttons are important, yet they failed to implement them for L2, R2, L3, and...

Actually Halo 2, which is what the article is about, is supposedly struggling to hit 1080p. The rest look like they will be, but that's still not solidly confirmed.
I can't find the exact article I read yesterday or recently, but here's this one from eurogamer:

Vita owner.. I want a model with physical L2, R2, L3, and R3 buttons; so remote play works like you're using a controller instead of crap touch controls where you can't judge finger placement and presses.
Sony, you know physical buttons are important:

Same, tired, old, false 'PC games are cheaper' argument I see..
Two words.. resale value.. you have none.
Even factoring in your game prices at $60/console and $50/PC, what happens when you buy a game you don't like? On PC, you eat that full cost. On console, you have the choice to resell the game or trade it in. And if you're talking only a week or two after launch (it wouldn't take anywhere near that long to figure ou...
On a side note, the friends list is much better on PS3 as far as the position on the XMB goes and the "Last Online" information.
I feel disconnected from PSN friends now, since it's not on the main XMB; you have to go into another level before seeing the list. It also doesn't show when they were last online and if I remember correctly, it also may not indicate which system they're on like the PS3 does. I may be wrong on that last part though, since I hav...
They're wrong on #2. Typing on PS3 was faster and easier than PS4. They need to bring back the '3x3' keyboard option that PS3 had instead of just the regular size keyboard.
The PS3 would still be a little faster due to the design of L2 and R2, which made quick taps easier, but PS4 typing speed would definitely improve.
Inside from the makers of Limbo was the most interesting new game shown in my opinion, and I only played part of the Limbo demo. I'll have to play both eventually.
That was Microsoft's best conference probably ever, since it was pure games and no BS theatrics. It personally doesn't make me want to get an Xbox, but for fans of the same franchises Halo, Forza, Fable, Crackdown; it was a good showing I suppose. I would have liked to see more new IPs instead of the sa...
A++ to itBourne on recognizing R:FoM and UC2 as two of, if not the two best multiplayer games of last gen.
Look at these people coming out of the woodwork for Battle Arena Toshinden. Never even heard of this game and now everyone supposedly wants it, but then it won't sell all that well when it comes out.
Like Zone of the Enders and Shenmue before it.. Get back in your woodworks. Git!
Salamander,
You need to look up the definition of fad and look at the console sales numbers. I already provided the numbers. Make a bar graph and look at the trend. Spot your single outlier. There's no wondering involved.
59 is less than 62.
33 is less than 59.
22 is less than 33.
6 with very slow growth is less than 22.

Few, if anyone would consider referring to the games you listed on a Mario/Zelda/Halo type level of significance. My point was that they can't keep being the Mario & Zelda console to 99% of J. Q. Public. (With Wii they became the motion controlled bowling and Wii Fit console. Newness became console sales.)
I'd like to see a Nintendo home console generation with no Mario, no Zelda, no Metroid, etc. Just new IPs, a ne...
Every Nintendo home console has become it's worst selling console with the exception of the Wii 'fad'.
62M - NES
59M - SNES
33M - N64
22M - GameCube
101M - Wii
6M - Wii U
My opinion (backed up by the fact there are a bagillion Mario games, etc.) is that they've just been riding nostalgia since the NES. Same old few major franchises in Mario, Zelda, Metroid, etc. The nostalgia just keeps fading and people ...
Disagree, defend the status quo, and settle for an inferior product design all you want, but you're just keeping yourselves down in the end.
