Test Drive: Eve of Destruction
But I'd much rather have EoD2 with EoD remastered than slightly upgraded 'backwards compatibility', which isn't really bc, because backwards compatibility means compatible with the older discs. Our disc are not compatible, so these are just relatively very minor remasters that you have to re-buy.
Also Half-Life (again, would prefer a full remaster/remake like Black Mesa).
Those are the only 2 PS2...
And psst.. keep crap like that in the article thumbnail out of the game.
I don't feel like wasting time ranting too much, but I'd like to see Resistance: The Angry Night; a prequel to 'Fall of Man' set in Russia and eastern Europe with R:FoM-like gameplay.
*Freedom of movement (or fluidity of movement, whatever you want to call it). Aka the ability to move sideways, backwards, and anywhere in between at the same speed you move forward, to be a...
L3 & R3 should be physical buttons also. There's no room for understanding. No compromise. Physical buttons, period. Let people use a back touchpad as an option if they want, but the feedback of a physical button trumps touch all day. Touch you don't know if you're hitting the wrong button or hitting anything at all, because there's little to no tactile feedback as to where exactly your fingers are placed, if you pressed in correctly, or removed your finger fully like you ...
I just remembered the Uncharted Collection recently received an update that said it improved visuals. Maybe it was due to this 7th CPU core?
If this makes it possible, ND should patch the improved 30fps shadows into the regular 60fps mode of The Last Of Us Remastered.
Something makes me suspect that it's perfectly reasonable to question the circumstances of the worst selling console suddenly claiming to have been the best selling console.
I've never purchased a season pass and don't plan on ever buying one. It's a rip-off. Now you're expected to pay $110 for a full game instead of $60. F 'em, I'll wait until the complete edition is ~$15.
Or very vocal majority..
"Mommy, mommy! Calla dudie. Mommy! I want the Calla Doodie!"
There are so many better games that 'deserve' people's money than Black Ops 3. It's the worst Black Ops to date; rated worse than Advance Warfare, a nonsensical story with endless robots explosions and for some reason dozens of loadout boxes throughout the missions like anyone changes their loadout that many times during a single mission, a laggy online (in my experience and others, obviously different people benefit from lag compensation). A broken platinum.. it looks like th...
The shadow rendering is the only thing that's improved with TLOU 30fps mode. The 30fps mode is only beneficially for taking photos/screenshots. If you choose to play the full game at 30fps, you're a fool, as any time you're in motion or moving the camera, everything looks worse (choppy / blurry / not smooth) than at 60fps.
Wicked, they're not really 'blocky' at 60fps though, they're still a big upgrade from the PS3 version's shadows.
I just read that Gun Game is returning. That's a plus. Any game mode without all that killstreak reward nonsense rewarding players already doing well with free bonus kills. The characters are a negative though; abilities include invisibility among others, which is a ridiculous feature that seems to make it's way into way too many games these days (Resistance berserks, MGS5, Killzone, CoD, Halo, Crysis, etc.).
It's already an uneven playing field with boosters you can choose pregame, pay to win weapons, etc.
PvP should be PvP, skill vs skill, not based who has more or better power ups and advantages.
There's also already 'catch-up' parts/crafting item bonuses when you're behind. Knowing Naughty Dog, based on UC2 > UC3 > UC4, they likely will continue to add more supernatural nonsense and the game will become more about some sort of superpo...
I'm sure my last comment isn't popular, because it's negative against Uncharted and 'round these parts there are blind loyalties involved as far as majority community reaction is concerned. So just to be clear, because it will probably be flagged for 'trolling' too. yes I'm a PlayStation and Uncharted gamer http://psnprofiles.com/JLP-
And my main point is that from the standpoint of a playe...
Graphically it looks fantastic. Gameplay-wise it looks like ass. More magic, supernatural BS instead of gunplay. I was looking forward to meeting up with some buddies I haven't played with in a long time on Uncharted 4, now I'm considering canceling those plans. If the C4's like CoD.. fk that. Looks like power weapons are plentiful. Throwing extra health to players. 1hit bodyshot sniper. It's looks like there's now downing like TLOU? (unless that's hinting at co-op mis...
Having a Community for your clan is a good alternative to having to maintain a website and forums. You can't do as much as a website, but it is more convenient for everyone to access and get notifications when new posts are made.
I would agree that most communities are a waste of time if you join ones that are just random comments from people you don't know and spam, but it's definitely a good feature when used for certain purposes.
@solid
You need to be more specific, because what you said isn't true. Every PS3 is backwards compatible with PS1 games, so to say slims are not BC isn't true, unless you specify PS2 backwards compatibility.
@Dark
What you said is also not entirely true. PS3 never had full emulation of PS2 games. Initially the PS3 fats had both the EE (Emotion Engine - CPU) and RSX (Reality Synthesizer - GPU). They later emulated the EE, but retained the RSX hardware. ...
Follow-up info on console profit margins:
"Why would Best Buy, Wal-Mart, and Amazon do this?
If history holds true for the current generation of consoles, retailers make very little money selling them -- instead profiting on games and accessories (and perhaps incidental sales due to added store traffic). Technology website DailyTech broke down the retailer costs, retail prices, and profit margins of some of the last generation of consoles in October 2006...
$200-250 range is extremely doubtful. Sony would be taking a big loss on every console sold. I know when PS3 launched they cost well over $800 each to manufacture and they were taking big losses nearing $300+ per console early on. I highly doubt another couple hundred per was lost to retailers. Games are where the money's made and were there's a big mark-up (compared to manufacturing costs), obviously they need to make up tens or hundreds of millions in development and advertising cos...
Photoshop first, then photo...
I'm not saying it was photoshopped, just pointing out the fact that you wouldn't take a photo first and then photoshop it in a situation like this.
I prefer this style concept compared to the original (I like when it shows all of the games included), but the design is likely the worst I've seen.
Some have done it right (design-wise):
