“Technically, this is the year before the launch of the next generation consoles – traditionally, such years see game releases dry up, and console manufacturers’ attention shift squarely to readying the successors that are inevitably coming”
Lolwut? The year before next gen has never diminished in quality. In fact some of the best games in a system’s life tends to come out in the year before the next gen
3rd gen: 1987-1991 had some of the best titles

Japan is still the country with the highest amount of PlayStation consoles sold behind only the United States. Idk how you can call that irrelevant unless you’re trying to troll
4J Studios already remaster both Banjo-Kazooie titles
What you’re thinking about are remakes
Not even Yookah-Laylee could live up to that pedigree. I doubt anybody else can
What does Sony have to gain by having this DLC release one month earlier on their platform?
Plus a lot of what’s featured in this DLC looks like stuff that should’ve already been in the base game, like the Final Fantasy characters.
Speaking of which I hope they include at least one new Final Fantasy character in addition to the returning veterans. Still sucks that just to see any of these characters is locked behind paid content
The games have become a victim of the series’ success
If you’re spending that much on external storage you might as well go the extra mile and spend the extra $35 and get the 4TB
A steal? Lmao have you grown so accustomed to paying $60 for every Nintendo game that any form of discount is seen as a steal?
Unless a game came out 2-3 months before the November of that year, no game should be going for over $40 on Black Friday.
Hell even many full priced games that came out only 1-2 months ago are below $40 on Black Friday
Still waiting on Tekken X Street Fighter
I’m enjoying the dumpster fire that is Stadia. Everything that could go wrong has.
This will teach Google and any other major tech company not to half ass trying to enter the video game market in any meaningful way. Hell in Google’s case it’s more like quarter assing their way in
People say the same thing for Dragon Quest
I always found it nonsensical how many people bashed PS3’s price especially in comparison to Xbox 360 nickel and diming you at nearly every turn.
Yeah it was a very high cost compared to its competition but it still offered a lot of bang for your buck by giving you rechargeable controllers, free online, upgradable non-proprietary HDDs, Bluetooth support that worked with nearly every headset, HDMI on every unit, built-in WiFi & Ethernet port, region free software, backw...
“Xbox has finished last in each of their console generations.“
Rewriting history much?
- Xbox outsold GameCube
- Xbox One outsold Wii U
PS3 & Vita still have better online functionality than Switch does and its free
Nintendo has no excuse to be lacking in so many areas, especially no basic messaging system
This is the first even numbered generation to skip out on the trend.
Still waiting on Eeveelutions for Rock, Poison, Ground, Flying, Bug, Ghost, Fighting, Steel, and Dragon types.
Games part of the brand need to release on the platform of the namesake of the brand itself first
I don’t see the logic in Square Enix porting more Kingdom Hearts titles to Xbox One but not any Dragon Quest titles
The obvious mindset would be that Dragon Quest wouldn’t sell on Xbox, but Final Fantasy & Kingdom Hearts hardly ever do on the platform either. Hell Yakuza has no chance of selling on Xbox One yet those games are getting ported.
Let me get this straight
So many Xbox fans criticized Sony for previously not being as supportive for cross platform play yet some of them are against the idea of DualShock 4 being usable with XCloud?
Seems like some people’s level of inclusiveness can be extremely fickle
You call having logic somehow being a fanboy?
Wow you must not be familiar with the history of gaming then
