“A lot of Platinum games don't sell well on either console system (PS/Xbox) which is why they have mostly stuck to Switch this gen.”
1.) I’m talking about the sales performance of PlatinumGames’ titles on Xbox consoles compared to other platforms. Their titles generally do worst on Xbox systems compared to their immediate contemporaries. There’s a reason why their first self published game does not have Xbox One listed as one of its stretch...
“With the pedigree of Platinum Games already well-established at this point, and Scalebound looking extremely intense, the game was poised to not only be a success but also potentially serve as a system seller that the Xbox One could have really benefited from. Yet, here we are, with no Scalebound.”
I’ve always been saying that I didn’t see Scalebound being a system seller. PlatinumGames’ titles have historically not sold well on Xbox consoles and making it exclusive to one...
We’ve had a number of Dragon Ball games with original scenarios though
Nobody has an excuse not to play Horizon at that price
It would be multiplatform if it sold well enough for Sega to fund the sequels itself
Borderlands 3 deserves it
Nintendo: “You guys don’t like buying games at full price years after they’ve released?”
I understand why FFvXIII had a tumultuous development, but the fact is that it did happen. Such a long development cycle for such a major meant it’d eventually be rebranded into a mainline title.
Btw it was only the first game that Business Division 2 helped develop, not the entire FFXIII trilogy. tri-Ace were the ones who helped out with FFXIII-2 and LR: FFXIII.
No sense in fixating on what could’ve been since every major project has preproduction ideas...
It may very well be after all the episodes are available do consumers can have the complete package
I stopped caring about Rockstart when they decided to only focus on two franchises and then only release one game during an entire generation
Funny how at first Nomura said he and Business Division 2 wouldn’t start serious work on KH3 until they were finished with FFvXIII(now FFXV). Now that KH3 is finally out he can’t stop thinking about FFvXIII.
I’m glad he was taken off the project. The development cycle for FFvXIII was a mess and after 2012’s DDD, Nomura would’ve had to prioritize KH3 and let Tabata take the reins. This meant we got FFXV, KH3 and FFVIIR sooner than Nomura’s original plan
NieR: Automata is Nier 2 😑
Does it matter? They’d still have to create a new AAA game from just Kickstarter funds, which is absurd.
That doesn’t even get into if it would even be possible. Why would Microsoft even want to revive a game that they canned?
All of the work on Wonderful 101 has already been done, so it won’t cost as much to remaster it.
That’s way more reasonable than believing they could fund an entire AAA game off of Kickstarter
Yet Square Enix for some absurd reason still priced it likes it’s an expansion
Wow a DualShock controller with a screen. Could you actually imagine Sony doing that
Instead of using a mobile title to explain why Xehanort turned evil, they should’ve had that plotline within KH3 itself. Hell that should’ve at least been part of the DLC instead of some vague dialogue that goes nowhere
It wasn’t cancelled it was reworked into an actual game, Final Fantasy XV.
Are you going to say Resident Evil 4 was cancelled because they didn’t use the previous concepts?
I’m not celebrating this because this is why Rockstar doesn’t make multiple games a year like every self respecting publisher should be. So many of their IPs have gone dormant for over a decade while they only focus on two franchises
Me neither. I played the PS3 version of Bayonetta and didn’t find anything majorly wrong with it
