But, most PC gamers do not buy a graphics card every couple of years. Steams own numbers bear that out. At less than 3% of all gamers on Steam have a 1080. Taking into consideration the NVidia 1070 the numbers show it is less 10% for both cards for PC gamers on Steam that use these most recent cards.. That means 90% of PC gamers have not bought these top of the line cards since they were released two years ago. So, this shorter cycle of upgrading is a false argument because most PC gamers r...
Yes, but when Sony did that very early announcement for the PS4 (Feb 2013) because the PS3 generation was very long in the tooth and had lost steam in sales. The PS4 will probably still be going fairly strong 2019/2020 as it does now. The earlier they announce, the quicker people will put any purchases of the PS4 on hold for a PS5 coming out later in the year. Not having those same sales for months would not help Sony's bottom line. Announcing a device so early may make fans excited bu...
Wrong. Sony itself admitted users data in the 2011 PSN attack was compromised. Sorry, but user data is usually not encrypted. Encrypted data is usually just the password. By that it is one way encryption where it can't be decrypted. If they expect to use the data again (like credit card number) that data, unlike a password, must be reversible in some way by Sony or any company which means it is not extremely difficult to unencrypt. But, definitely user data like phone numbers, address...
You have to apply then work your way up. The Alpha level is relatively small group (maybe a few thousand or so top contributors), The Alpha is a controlled population group. The only way you get into the Alpha stage is if someone drops out manually or a member is inactive in their quests/surveys and Microsoft drops them from the ring down to Beta or Preview. Beta works similarly but is a much larger group of users and Microsoft has on occasion increased the Beta group size. When you first e...
With Venom coming in October I am betting September release for the game. September also means it won't get lost in the barrage of October and November AAA releases from all the third party companies. Historically big games rarely get released in July and August (and June in most cases) because of they have to compete with vacations and movies and don't do as well financially.
This is my #1 must have game for PS4. I am a Spider-Man freak; my favorite comic character...
That was probably me. Thanks for the shout out. :)
And I am not a fanboy, I have both systems. I can admit I was wrong. I just read it somewhere the same day. And I didn't say it wasn't going to be a good year. I just pointed out that a couple of games somebody listed this year may not arrive this year. If you are referring to me then please don't put words in my mouth.
Still probably not getting this game. I will be putting my money down on...
Except that is not true. For every study you can show I can show one that contradicts it. There are multiple studies in that the 30+ years you speak of that show an increase in agression, lack of empathy, reduction in self-control, increase frequency for lying and cheating by people when playing heavily violent games. Especially more pronounced in youths that are still developing mentally (up to the age of 25).
And of course then there are studies that show that show there ...
Horizon = post apocalyptic world - Witcher with mechanical dinosaurs, Days Gone = post apocalyptic world - zombies yeah so original, riding hogs instead of dinosaurs (looks good though), Last of Us = post apocalyptic world. Not exactly being so creative and fresh if there is a common theme.
@paintedgamer1974 That stride may becoming a little slower this year. Detroit Become Human is delayed until 2019 and there are rumors floating around that the same 2019 delay may be happening to Days Gone as well. E3 can't come soon enough for me so we can get some actual release dates on Spider-Man, Days Gone and others.
Because as soon as any company announces a game is in development officially then everybody expects constant updates and questions answered. Making it official starts the inevitable gaming kids screaming from the back seat "are we there yet?"
You are right 2019 is a little early. That would mean a quick 2-year start to finish - not unheard of but the expectation of quality that Playground does I don't think we will see anything until 2020 at the earliest. However, I don't see how Forza Horizon coming out this year plays into the process. Different development teams. A whole new studio was created by Playground to make Fable 4. I highly doubt the 60+ people they have hired so far will have anything to do with the coming ...
I don't know. The last time I talked to Cerny he was going on and on about the power of the half-float and how it was going to drastically change the ability of the PS4 Pro. I have yet to see all those 8.4TFLOPS he was yammering about be used in any signifiant way.
What does Disney have to do with Insomniac? That is Sony deal, not a Disney deal. If Sony could get a couple more Spider-Man exclusive games out as quick as possible they would. Spidey film rights are owned by Sony/Columbia. And I assume because this game was announced shortly after Marvel announced Spider-Man would make his way back to the MCU that Sony was given the ability to have this exclusive as part of the deal.
Exclusives do not benefit Disney/Marvel/Lucas/Pixar i...
Yeah, France better be on the decline; one year vs eight and France still had more killings. France had more casualties from mass public shootings in 2015 than the US suffered during Obama’s entire presidency (532 to 527) Is that France gun control really working for you with numbers like that? By the way, France has an illegal gun problem. You know untraceable ownership. There are estimated 30,000 AK-47 (real automatic rifles brought into the country illegally) just...
First. Google has drastically rolled back fiber expansion plans. Both in the number of new areas and in the areas they are already established service. Many of the communities that are supposed to still be getting the service have had roll outs delayed. In some cases years. Additionally, most of those areas it is now expanding into have a pretty well-established internet infrastructure. For example, in California they are moving (with a partner) into in Orange County and downtown San Diego...
So a streaming service? Yeah, sounds like a winner (/sarcasm off). I do not know how this is competing with Xbox. Microsoft is not streaming games. For what Google is planning (at least initially) it will be competing with PSNow not an actual hardware console from either Sony or Microsoft. At least Sony had a winning console before they brought out the crappy PSNow gaming service. And at some time in the future the may bring out an actual device. Wouldn't the better option to bring out a ...

I think the actual device is just going to be another Ouya type device.
This is just another example of Google throwing ...
