I bet those power savings while in standby (or whatever mode they will call it) will be far outstripped by the increase in power consumption requirements these new devices will eat up when they are actually being used.
How so? You can't use Google Play Pass on an iPhone and you can't use Apple Arcade on an Android devices. Is somebody going to magically switch devices because of either one of these services? Plus, let us note that Apple Arcade are all exclusives to the Apple ecosystem. You aren't going to see those games at the Google Play store at all. Contrast that everything in the Google Pass can be bought outside of the service and everything in the Google Play Pass I have seen so far i...
Considering Fortnite makes Epic over $6.8 million dollars a day in income, around $2.5 billion for 2018. Spending a little over $10.5 million (9.5 million Euros) is pocket change in order to get their store noticed..
Why is @mogwaii a donkey/ass? Dreams was in development already in 2012 (Media Molecule mentioned it at Gamescon 2012). This is not some game that has been in development for three or four years. Since it isn't almost assuredly making that 2019 release the game is heading into at least 8 years of development. @mogaii may be joking about 10 years but, it is not far off how long this project has been in development.
What creative tool? It still a no show after over 7 years of development (and no early access does not count, that could be years of early access and changes before it even sees the light of day). Promises never met, release dates pushed. Maybe it will turn out to be great and supported on some 10 year plan when it finally is released. But, I personally have little faith in a project that will be now be going 8+ years after it was announced. Maybe they met they have a 10 year plan to ge...
"MS was "using" the OS from IBM changed it, and called it heyr own. That is the true history"
Wow you must of failed history. Know your facts before you state something so incorrect it makes you look like an imbecile. MS DOS was not based on IBM PC DOS. It was the other way around. MS DOS is what IBM came to buy and use by Microsoft. Microsoft actually when first approached by IBM did not have OS although they did have the...
@Shiken
Obviously not according to developers. Several have come out and stated sales increased when they entered GP. Microsoft data also shows that sales with games in GP also increase to be true. Can you counter that with a developer that said the opposite or are you just making up your own facts?

"All"
Not to nitpick but there are 3 or 4 PS4 tittles that last time I checked (in June) that could not be downloaded. Maybe that has changed in the last few months.
More games to choose from. Debatable on the PS4 vs Xbox One games. Especially considering PS4 catalog in PSNow will do several overlaps of the same game (e.g. 4 different versions of F1 Racing and even then there is a more recent version of F1 Racing on...
PSNow is not "basically" GP Ultimate. Ultimate includes Gold and GP for Xbox and PC. And since it contains GP that means it contains games that most people are actually interested in playing. Not old games that litter PSNow catalog.
The one advantage PSNow has is the capability for streaming the PSNow library to PC. If PSNow was on phones today, that may be considered a really plus. But, PSNow does not do that And any advantage of st...
When you mean barely you actually mean you are referring to that fake 4K wanna be the PS4 Pro right? That console was the biggest scam this gen: a 4K device without a 4K disc player, that calls quasi 4K rendering, 4K. I fell for it and bought one. I like it over my old PS4 but, not the way the X has changed my idea of what good console gaming on 4K can be like now. Obviously you don't own an X and I can tell you there are a great deal of games doing real 4K. Not this barely any games id...
@2pacalypsenow
"If you can play it anywhere else, it’s not exclusive no matter what you call it."
I am little confused is Bloodbourne a PS4 exclusive even though you can play it on a PC with PSNow. Is God of War 3 an exclusive if you can play it on PC via PSNow as well? Sony still calls it an exclusive on their site (not even a console exclusive but an exclusive ). How about Detroit Becomes Human when it comes to PC? And what about next gen when the Son...
"I have 1Gb connection"
You and about 0.01% of the net population. And although I looking forward to trying streaming from Stadia, XCloud, updated PSNow and others. I am under no illusion that I (with a very capable internet connection as well) am not the norm and neither are you. At least, Microsoft seems to be focusing on where game streaming will be most successful the mobile arena (plans f or heavily supporting multi...
No one? Good to know you have your fingers on the pulse of Gear gamers. /s
In my second run through the campaign I am playing co-op with a friend who has never played the multi-player in any of the Gears games (has only played the campaigns - doesn't play multi-player at all). So your no-one is minus one. I am aware of many people who only play the campaigns and never touch multi-player in many games known for their online multi-player game play.
@Orionsangel
You know how it works around N4G. Those votes you think are people agreeing with you are PS fanbots who drop into any Xbox article clicking an upvote any comment that is negative towards MS/Xbox and downvoting anything that talks positively about a Xbox. I am willing to bet almost all those votes you think even out the score never played a single Gears game and probably only own a PS4.
Forza Motorsport released in 2005 as part of the first Xbox generation, Delisted almost twelve years after its' release in 2016. Drive Club released in 2014 as part of this gen. DC delisted less 5 years after it's release.
Forza Motorsport (14+ year old game) still has it 's online servers active and there are no plans to shut them down multi-player including Forza 6. Contrast that with Drive Club that will be shutting down multi-player servers next March.
@Vokun
Actually Marvel did not get 5% of the revenue (not profits for sure, if it was profits they would make nothing on at least two of the Sony made Spider-Mans which were in the red). Marvel gets 5% of the revenue that Sony makes on the first day of the movies release. One day sales. not total gross for the movie. And that is what Marvel gets no matter if there is an agreement with Disney or not. It is what they get with any movie made within the Spider-Man universe : Venom, Sp...
Dreams was a lot earlier. Dreams had teaser trailer in 2014. But, Dreams itself was announced in 2013 at the PlayStation Meeting when they showed off tech demos. They have been working on that game for over 8 years. In fact, Media Molecule said at Gamescon 2012 they were working two projects. One of those games became officially known as Dreams.
I bet I can stretch Blair Witch to 10 hrs if I do it at a look and touch everything pace that you call "regular pace" for playing the Order 1886. In no reality did it take anyone more than 6 hours to play that PS4 game. And lets not ignore that they charged $60 for the privilege to do it.
$60 = $10 an hour for The Order 1886
$30 = $5 an hour for Blair Witch
Get the hourly rate even lower than that by getting the game on GP for $9 for the month f...
He never said multiplayer games. Your making up your own quote or are reading editorialized quotes.
Actual quote:
"We must support the PlayStation platform—that is nonnegotiable. That said, you will see in the future some titles coming out of my collection of studios which may need to lean into a wider installed base.”
