I bought the Gears Triple pack too, even though I owned both the games individually as well. Sometimes people just like collections. I mean I bought Killzone 3 the standard edition when it launched, but when they had the collectors edition on sale for like $45 I bought that too.
I'll play devils advocate here for a minute. I see a lot of people saying this isn't needed, but what about things like the God Of War Collection? or all these HD remake collections? Are they needed? Would fans of God OF War or Splinter Cell or Metal Gear really need a full collection?
My point is, you cant be so hypocritical just because you don't like a certain game franchise or company. If one isn't needed, none are needed. I'm not a huge COD fan, but I...
Well I own all the consoles, I'm also in a gaming clan so I play Xbox 360 online often, pretty much every day. I use party chat every single time I'm on XBL. No matter if I'm on a different game then friends/clan mates. Were always in a party chat. For one thing, the party chat sounds much, much clearer then the in game chat.
@FriedGoat
Not to be a downer or anything, but COD isn't losing it's popularity. They are expecting this one to top the last one, which topped the one before and so on and so forth.
There is no doubting it's a popular franchise. You might not like it, but millions of people do. The fact that they are taking out things like this and tweaking the killstreaks and going back more towards what made COD4 so great means this isn't the same game. We know Bat...
I don't really care one way or the other, but that's like Sony or Microsoft saying they are selling game consoles. Did anyone expect EA to say otherwise? I mean really...
I seriously cant afford that at all...lol If it were like $199 I might be able to swing it, but then I'd need a game.... Looks like a good handheld though, maybe they'll eventually drop the price or I'll be able to save enough.
I still have the first one on my Gamecube! Luigi has always been my favorite of the Mario Brothers. I'm saving up to get this title.
I bought a 3DS a couple of days ago when the price dropped. I couldn't have afforded one otherwise, I got a free game with it as well, which is good because I wouldn't have been able to get one of those either.
I'd love to get a Vita next year as well, but sadly $250 is out of my price range, with a game or two and tax your looking at close to $400 here. Which is way out of my range unfortunately.
I own all the consoles, but I have to admit that even though I'm new here, it seems like the PS3 fans go all crazy and troll the Xbox 360/Kinect topics.
This site was dominated by Sony news yesterday and while there were some Microsoft trolls, it wasn't nearly as bad as this. You sir give gamers a bad name, even PS3 fans.
Kinect has a pretty decent lineup this year, Dance Central 2, Kinectimals 2, Kinect Sports 2, Star Wars, Rise Of Nightmares, Guns...
I definitely see them dropping the price. It's been two years. I also think were in for a Kinect price drop. A $99 Kinect this holiday would definitely boost sales. With Kinect Sports 2, Dance Central 2, Kinectimals With Bears, Star Wars Kinect ect... It would be the perfect time.
I just think that if they don't cut the price they might be in for a long holiday season. $99 Wii, $299 PS3/Move bundle and a $249 PS3 by itself is stiff competition.
I already have this with Direct TV, that is an insane price. I think they break up the payments with the standard service with NFL Sunday Ticket.
I wouldn't count this out. I mean it's probably going to be $99. That will sell a ton of people who don't really care about GCN. The more casual crowd will probably jump at seeing a Nintendo Wii for $99.
There was no original Xbox Halo CE online. There only was online for the PC version. It's not just using the Reach Engine, it's in Reach's multiplayer. Sort of how ODST came with a disk with all the Halo 3 maps and you could play online with that. Halo Anny will have it's own maps and whatnot, but run off the Reach servers and Engine.
It's not really a bad thing, when you take into account so many remakes don't even offer online at all. This is looking...
I will say I liked a lot of things Brotherhood did, like where you can recruit your own Assassins and things like that, but I also felt it had more of a add on or expansion pack then anything. I think Ubisoft is intentionally dragging out the story a bit, especially with Ezio.
Were probably going to see a $150 Xbox 360 arcade, $250 250 gig Xbox 360 and a $99 Kinect. Throw in what looks like a $99 slim Wii and were going to have a busy holiday season.
So I don't think lowering the price is going to help more then usual because the other companies are going to do the same thing.
I hope Microsoft does this with more games, I'm sure there will always be an audience for games that only require Kinect, but if you look at the integration between Kinect and games like Forza 4 and now Steel Battalion we see a lot of untapped potential.
I'll be keeping an eye on this, it sounds pretty good.
We don't know the rating yet, but most Star Wars games get between a E and T, which means Everyone can pretty much play them.
I am an adult, but I also love Star Wars. This is a game I've been very interested in since I heard about it last year. I also love games like Mario, Jak And Daxter and Viva Pinata, does that make me a kid? I don't think so.
Sega is doing a fine job with this, it reminds me of a cross between House Of The Dead and Condemned. Which are both very good things. I am definitely keeping my eye on this one.
This model will probably be budget based. My guess is $99 in time for the holidays.
Think of the holiday season this year.
$250 PS3
Probably a $250 250 gig Xbox 360 and $150 Arcade version, I also have a feeling were going to see a $99 Kinect and probably a $250 Xbox 360/Kinect bundle
$99 Wii
It's going to be a busy season for these game companies.
Microsoft has already said that almost every Xbox 360 exclusive will have some sort of Kinect integration. It just depends on how much. Apparently Ryse can be used with Kinect or without, hopefully this is the same way. Not because I hate Kinect, as I actually like the device and own one, but because I like games to be able to reach a wider audience, having it use both Kinect and or a standard controller would allow that.
Then everyone could get what they wanted, Kinect (opt...
