The dialogue is actually the old stuff that we've already heard in English. Like it starts out with Snake asking Naomi how long he's got to live and she says half a year.
Snake says he has stuff still left to do.
Then it's presumably the colonel asking Snake to kill Liquid. The next speech is all the old stuff talking about how PMCs have transformed warfare (pretty sure this was in the old trailers).
Meryl says to snake that the age of heroes is over.....
rollout the software that supports this. Otherwise it will basically be nothing more than the Playstation Eye - a gimmicky add-on with demo-esque games.
...because it wasn't that good of a game. People bought, beat it, and sold it back. Or (as was the case for me) just rented it instead. The game had pretty graphics and awesome cut scenes, but the gameplay was repetitive and got boring after a while.

Yeah...but really, millions of people from all over the world flooded their servers (not to mention that the UK subscriptions were unlimited unlike NA / Japan). So...to be fair, there really wasn't a lot they could do.
Heck, all of Xbox Live's downtime started around X-Mas as a result of millions on the COD4 servers. This sorta stuff happens.
Konami is putting out a test which (admittedly) serves them from a dev. standpoint, but it also gives all of us the ability to play a kick-ass game months before release. And we WILL play it...just in a few days.
They said that they postponed the beta in all places other than Japan at this point. Too many ppl in UK couldn't log on, so they are doing server maintenance and will relaunch it (presumably) in the next several days.

They've suspended the beta test as of 3:00 Japan time (like 45 min ago). Says that they're gonna do server maintenance. As of right now they don't know when that will be done, but they've moved the end date 05/11
...it's live in the countries where it is already tomorrow...today! (like Japan and UK for instance). We'll likely have to wait a bit longer for NA.

The original PSX had three controllers in total (regular...dual analog...dual shock).
GameCube had two controllers as well (regular and WaveBird)
Original Xbox had two controllers (gigantic original one that no one liked and the better Type S Controller later down the road).
Multiple controllers are NOT RARE. Get over it and enjoy the DS3.

If the Konami servers crashed under the pressure of just those people worldwide that were signed up to participate in the beta...I wonder what's gonna happen when the actual gaming starts with all these "new" Europeans?
I did the Konami ID thing last week when I first heard you had to have it.
Too bad I'm currently stuck downloading the update P2P since the Konami server crashed under the load (lol). P2P is slow as snails crawling through quicksand for me.
