Same here, and I've been playing consoles for longer than some gamers have been alive, lol. PS4 is the first time I have ever placed a console pre-order.
agree. i don't buy COD dlc. Its all the same and all rehashed crap. But I do still enjoy the series somewhat.
What I find even more "end of the world" is Activision telling PS4 players they dont get dedicated servers. That makes this one an automatic non purchase for me.
That's why I don't click through on these type articles. They are normally just baiting for page clicks. They got to keep their advertisers happy.
Exactly what I was thinking. And it's been happening more and more. They must be making the rounds with payouts to websites to try and make PS4 look bad.
And I bet it will have poor sales on PS4 in spring of 2015.. People will move on and play other games that are more next gen. They will have too much competition by then, including another COD which the devs will have time to make truly "next gen" by then.
Respawn should just save their money and move on to the next MS exclusive.
And that's cool.. I hope the Xbox owners enjoy it. I'm sure many PS4 owners would enjoy Titanfall as well, but just like previous MGS, Xbox fans survived without it and still found plenty of good games to play.
I hate the whole exclusive thing on either side. I think all gamers should be able to enjoy the same games, although I understand first party publishers will never do that.
That's exactly right. IF I really wanted it THAT bad, I have a PC that is more than capable of running Titanfall. It would have been cool to try it on the PS4 if they hadn't gone XB1 only, but I'll just move on.
There are way too many good games that will be available to play at launch for me to worry about Respawn and Titanfall.
Maybe 30% off was the Vita price drop or Vita memory price cut. Don't work out to exactly 30% though, but its in that general area.
I'm not having any shortage of good games to play. I can find good games without it coming from these "big guys". I don't have to buy a certain console because of what my friends have. I could buy both if I wanted to, but I won't.
I'm not a hater, I'm a consumer. And if a company takes a piss on me, I won't buy their product. Don't try to sell it to me a year down the road when people have moved on and are playing the next big thing ...
I think it actually looked better in the 1080p offscreen video from yesterday:

yes, you will get the PS+ version which will be a "light version" of the game if you have Playstation Plus when you get your PS4. You can upgrade it to full version if you like it (hopefully at a reasonable rate).
Just witness player cards in COD. Giving 12 year olds various shapes and multiple layers to create their card, they will go directly below the belt every time.

Oh man.. Rick Dangerous! I still have that packed away with my Amiga disks. Played it many hours back in the day. It would wear your nerves out, just when you thought you had a sequence licked, you would slip up and "Waaaaah"
I agree, no thanks. I was excited for Titanfall when I first saw it, but then to see they decided to make it MS only, I won't be supporting Respawn even if they do bring it to PS4 later. That is one of the reasons I have stopped buying anything with EA on it and I'm to the same point with Activision and their stupid "MS gets it first, you have to wait" stance.
I vote with my wallet, and it's only one sale, but if enough people do it, they will notic...
Well, to be fair, many gamers (myself included) won't find this appealing but they have to have a kid friendly game in the lineup for launch, and this fits the bill perfectly.
I'm not loosing any sleep over it.
Um, news flash.. Games have been mass produced since the 70's
Games don't get much bigger that COD sales wise. It's the top selling game on PS3 and XB360 if I recall correctly. But if I had a PS4 preorder for COD and Activision came out and said no dedicated server for me, I would cancel it and buy something else. That's just me.
I think it's all useless anyway for either platform. Why cut off part of your marketable community and make them have a distaste for your company and games by doing exclusive games? Exclusives should only exist in the form of 1st party games.
Ummm.. FREE DLC? CoD can take their $15 rehashed map packs and shove them. Now we are getting back to the old school gaming ways.
They need to do away with the lag compensation as well. It's frustrating when you can actually feel the game counteract what you are doing just to make you miss. I've actually complained about that for a long time that feeling of something literally pushing my gun off target so that I missed.
If their new matchmaking is all that they claim, surely they can match up all of those with lesser internet connections together so that they don't have to lag compensate. ...
