How about achieving a locked 60fps/0% screen tearing first?

Dance Central 2 is the best casual party game around, bar none.

Rock Band 3 is the best non-casual party game, bar none.

Rayman Origins is the most aesthetically pleasing game this generation, if not ever IMO, and has superb multiplayer and replay value.

all 3 games deserve their spot on the list IMO.

while i dont agree with the order or all of the games, especially the top 10, who gives a rats? its their opinion.

"Sony isn't one to force anything on anyone."

yet in the same post you say:

"Sony did ask that Cage implement Move into the HR Patch which resulted in a halt of the DLC"

seems like they are one to force things on developers, much like they forced Move and 3D into most of their first party games.

"Cage has never been huge on pumping out sequels"

true, but hes been huge on pump...

so in the last year Team Ico has lost its Director/Lead Designer, Fumito Ueda, and now its Producer Kenji Kaido.

if things werent looking bad for Team Icos future already, they definitely are now. this is just jumping before youre pushed by the looks of it, quit or be out of a job when their studio is closed.

its unfortunate because of their previous titles, but expected due to their failure to get a game out in the last 7 years.

Kinect as it is already has 1:1 controls, at least as much as a video game console can have.

you should note that no matter how much n4PS3g tries to tell you, 1:1 doesnt have anything to do with input lag. if it did then 1:1 would not be possible as everything requires milliseconds of processing time. even a regular controller has 50+ms of lag.

1:1 means that if you move x distance in real life that will give an x distance move on screen. Kinect can do this, ...

how any sane person can say it doesnt need a price cut is beyond me.

2.2 million SHIPPED consoles in 6 months worldwide + another 3 months in Japan. its selling at the same rate as the Dreamcast. you might not remember the dreamcast because it ceased production because its sales were absolutely horrible. 2.2 million is terrible, you cant sugar coat it.

get it to $199 with a 16gb+ card thrown in along with an exclusive PORTABLE style game and it *might* be abl...

id say its probably the game ive put the most hours into out of any over my 20+ years of video game playing.

its easily one of the best games of all time IMO. unlimited replay value, fantastic single player but 10x better with friends, and addictive as hell. with the pro instruments, drums especially, its as fun as games can get IMO.

wait, what?

Rare, a first party microsoft developer, working on a game for the 360s successor, somehow gives you reason to buy a PS4? care to elaborate?

i dont understand the need for articles like this, seriously. if a video game developer intends on releasing a game in the next generation, they need to start making it. we KNOW there is a follow up to the 360 coming. we KNOW there is a follow up to the PS3 coming. thats fact, not rumour. the specs are the ru...

so in other words, sonys failing TV division wants to push 4K TVs on the public, most likely at their exorbitant prices as always.

games next generation will not be in 4K resolution. firstly because literally <0.5% of the population worldwide will have 4K tvs. secondly because if a game can run in 4K it can run 10x better and look 10x better in 1080p, which also happens to be the standard resolution of all tvs manufactured in the last 12+ months.

theyre j...

until sony consistently release games that use the vita in conjunction with the PS3 its a moot point.

from before the PSP was even released Sony were touting its PS3-compatibility and how it would be used as an extra controller for the PS3. one of the very first things they showed was using a PSP as a rear vision mirror for a F1 PS3 game.

fast forward 7 years and not a single PSP game was EVER released that worked in conjunction with the PS3.

could have something to do with the fact that since 2008 theyve basically only released a single game in 3 different flavours.

Wipeout HD (2008) was a HD port of the PSP games.
Wipeout HD Fury (2009) was an expansion pack that consisted mainly of the remaining content from the PSP games.
Wipeout 2048 (2012) is, as you have probably guess, just more of the same but on the Vita.

So there was 1 PSN game, 1 PSN expansion pack, and 1 Vita game that...

to the people saying the vita isnt dead - no, its not......but its about as close to it as a new console can get.

2.2 million shipped consoles in 6 months worldwide + an extra 3 months in japan is about as bad as it can get. to put it into perspective, take a look at this graph taken from neogaf:

so at this stage in its lifetime, the Vita is sellin...

obviously.

it is funny though because most of the pro-sony-anti-microsoft brigade used microsofts 'eh' stance on 3D as proof that the 360 wasnt as powerful as the PS3, when in reality it was just that Microsoft didnt have anything to gain by pushing 3D unlike Sony. microsoft made the 360 support 3D from the same day the PS3 did, but they didnt focus on it.

most of us already knew the reason why sony focused on 3D was for their failing tv business, and...

when a site is run by fanboy votes and/or fanboy moderators, thats what you get. unfortunately, n4g is both.

i received a 7 day ban for a comment that i made, and the comment that the moderator wrote on my restriction was, and i quote:

"blah blah blah, have another cry."

during that ban, approximately half way into it, i lost 4 - yes you heard me, 4 - bubbles. i hadnt posted for ~4 days, and i lost 4 bubbles in 1 single hit, and it ...

now before you all spam the disagree button, im not saying thats a BAD thing. im just pointing out that it bares a striking resemblance.

better say this bit first so the usual crowd dont just blindly hit disagree:

i know that PS+ is fantastic for some people, and for what its worth i think its a good optional service.

i dont feel like paying AUS$79 a year for a game rental service though, especially one that doesnt even allow me to choose the games i want to rent.

i ONLY play exclusives on my PS3, all multiplatform gaming is done on my 360. in 2012, Journey is the only PS3 gam...

at least that way they would get more "sales".

they need to make people want the vita for what the vita is, not because they get free stuff for it if they buy PS3 stuff.

5053d ago 3 agree11 disagreeView comment

am i the only one who doesnt seem to think that "cross-buy" will make the vita a must-have?

if youre buying the PS3 version, you want to play the PS3 version. being able to then play a watered down version of it on the vita, if you own one, wouldnt really be that big a deal to most people i wouldnt imagine.

not to mention the fact that this is only for sonys first party games, and only those which HAVE a vita version to begin with. dont expect to go...

firstly, your quoted failure rate is 100% made up. there has only ever been 2 official failure rates given.

1. microsoft said the failure rate was within the acceptable limit - the acceptable limit for consoles/appliances is 3-4% iirc.

2. microsoft said the failure rate was above the acceptable limit and introduced the 3 year warranty. that means that the failure rate hit >3%, meaning even 3.000000000001% was possible.

secondly, 100% of th...
