after IGNs 9.5/10 for Resistance 2, im taking their Resistance 3 review with a grain of salt. Resistance 2 was, quite frankly, terrible - yet they gave it one of the highest scores of all games this generation.
its funny that the PS3 fanboys are still playing the 'PS3 is outselling the 360 worldwide' card, even though in 2011 its NOT.
from both Sony and Microsofts official figures for sales in 2011, the 360 has sold something like half a million MORE consoles WORLDWIDE than the PS3 has. these are direct from Microsoft and Sony.

PS3 looked better in some, 360 in others IMO. the 360 seems to have the edge in AA, which is probably why it looks slightly blurrier than the PS3 version.

i actually think kinect could be implemented into rock band pretty easily and well - just use it to track your body so you can 'rock out' around the place and have your character mimic you on-screen. obviously it wouldnt be used to actually hit notes.

ive used PS3 controllers from day one of the original playstation - ive even got the "rare" Dual Analog controller, which was MUCH better than the Dual Shock in every way apart from having rumble (obviously). it had bigger "handles, concave tops on the analogs, bigger L2/R2 buttons, and was heavier/more sturdy.

theres NO free DLC in it. as someone above said, the online car dealer just has cars that are available in the used car dealership. the only difference is you dont have to wait for them to come up randomly like you do in the used car dealership.

Like you say, a season pass is great if you know what you're going to get.
With gears 3, for example, we know BEFORE the game is even out that the "season pass" will cost 2400msp, will get you 4 DLC packs, and will save you 30% of the cost of those 4 separate packs. That's excellent because you can decide if it's worth it well in advance.
I know I'll buy it on day 1, and that's on top of me paying $200 AUS for the epic edition A...

Rage is HUGE on disc because of megatextures - thats the ONLY reason. id, for better or worse, literally draw the entire map - every single square cm of it is unique. every other game uses repeated assets/textures.
now neither method is "wrong", just different to each other. i mean, do you notice or care if the ground texture isnt unique in every cm of a level? i dont....

i dont care if the 360s successor doesnt have blu-ray. why? because my PS3 plays blu-rays and I have no interest whatsoever of even watching a movie on blu-ray on it.
the next xbox will hopefully come out at christmas 2012, with an announcement/unveiling at e3 2012. i hope it doesnt use optical discs, id rather it used memory cards. if it has to use optical discs, i want it to be like PC where it fully installs the game and runs entirely off the HDD.
i think an external Blu-Ray drive is a great idea.
