@Army_of_Darkness They point these things out for folks who aren’t on N4G and other news sites all the time. There are many many more casual gamers than there are folks on here, so the messaging gets muddy real quick. People often think something gets announced at a showcase and that means it’s exclusive, so Microsoft needs to get ahead of it to show that’s not quite how it works.
No chance Nintendo doesn't sue to block this game. The Bokoblins and Moblins and that trailer opening, the world, design of the paraglider, just so much in here that is trying to be Breath of the Wild that it's impossible to miss.
@VenomUK when else were they supposed to announce it? It's happening in like five weeks and these things are actually typically announced much sooner.
This is completely wrong. If you don't want something because you don't agree with the price or can't afford it or don't want to spend the money, or the product has a flaw in your eyes - whatever the reason is - you don't have the right to steal it. You can't argue that a car is too overpriced so the dealership should just give it to you. Yes, it's the same "you wouldn't steal a car" argument from the movies, but it's true.
Piracy absolutely hurts sales. It may not seem like it matters because Nintendo will certainly sell tens of millions of copies of the game, but there are people who won't buy a Switch because they emulate the entire console and therefore just download 2, 3, 4, 10, 20 games onto it without batting an eye. That's a massive loss multiplied out over the millions of people who emulate and don't buy a single thing.
Flawlessmic clearly no one taught you that if you have nothing to say, don't say anything. This will literally make it so that people who couldn't otherwise play the game can play the game. Let it be a win for those folks, not everything needs to be for you, or you should go to every game that you're uninterested in and comment about how it's not for you.
Interesting. With all of Sony's claims of anti-competition (whether correct or not), this isn't a good look for them. Nonetheless, exclusive deals happen all the time, so this isn't a major shocker, either. Having a third-party make an exclusive for your platform in exchange for money and other resources is just a business deal.
"These games run like garbage."
"They just feel like they are held together with bits of wire and string."
"The main outfit you’re going to wear for the next 50 hours is aggressively purple."
Legit some of the best review quotes I've ever seen on IGN.
This is true, but the voice actor doesn't need to also do the mo-cap, even though that's what most do. It would probably be a lot more realistic and complete of a performance, but I'll take Ironside with some rando doing the moves any day of the week.
Agree that the Switch is underpowered comparatively, but given what BotW was able to do as a launch title, Pokémon has no excuse given the size of the world and having an additional five years to figure out how to better make use of the console's hardware.
What a ridiculous article. Making news of literally nothing. This is the same as saying "Will [insert any digital-only indie game here] have a physical release?" and then writing 300 words about how you found nothing on the web to indicate as much. Next up: "Will Tunic be made into a movie?" "Nahh, we couldn't find anything about that, here's 300 words on the non-topic."
This is terrible. Clash of Clans and Candy Crush are two of the absolute BIGGEST games on the planet which saw $500 million and $600 million in revenue last year, respectively.
Modern mobile games actually started with the App Store in 2008 and were things like Rolando and Spore Origins and Labyrinth. They didn't grow until the mid 2010s when Alto's Adventure and Fallout Shelter came out, but the two quoted here are definitely not kiddie games or the state of the lesser side ...
This story already went live yesterday: https://n4g.com/news/246908...
Xbox hate for no reason. Can't we all just like what we all like?
If having a working game doesn't matter, then this article is right.
Yeah, this was reported back in December.
"Everywhere I went was just...the Mediterranean. It looked nice but it was all the same, no variation in weather or biomes."
@Lionsguard What did you want them to do? They were replicating a real place, not a fictional land. They couldn't exactly toss in a jungle.
Yeah - this is all population based. If they're going to spend the money, they've got to get the eyes. I still remember when Greece of all places got a limited edition Ocarina of Time 3D package with "deku seeds" in it, and were the only region in the world to get it. Super strange for a small country with a relatively small gaming population. Would love to see more billboards and posters and setups like this in more countries, but it just doesn't happen for the economic...
Damn it's got to be such a GREAT feeling to have your own game up there. Like, we worked hard on this thing, and here it is for millions of people to see each day. Crazy!
Nintendo has multiple teams that will work on Zelda, just like they did with the Link's Awakening remake while TotK was under development. They'll all be overseen by Aonuma-san, but can take many directions. It would be great to see something like the Link's Awakening style but for a brand new game. We could have a new Zelda every two or three years, alternating between the old portable style ones with a more dungeon/linear gameplay and a larger open world title every four to five...
