Seems like it!

The game told you what to do in the pictures and you mimick that. Then you get points.

Are you questioning if Kinect is able to track the body?

Long development time is independent of sales. It is marketing, appeal and game quality that sells games.

Nobody I know go into a store, look at a game box and says "Too Human? Wasn't that game in development for 5 years? I think I will just stick with MW2 since it took them like 2 years!"

This probably doesn't cost MS anything, and it is a draw to Macy's. Who knows, maybe Macy's will start selling Xbox 360s if they aren't already.

Because the mat can only track you foot steps, not your whole body. It seems people don't get that.... full body tracking... not a 4 button input that your feet can stomp on!

With that said, I don't think Dance Central is the best game of E3 though.

"Gestures will always lose. Scientifically, it takes more nerve power, more muscle power, and more brain power (and therefore, much more time) to tell your entire arm "wave" than to tell the end of your thumb "push"."

That is not true. It takes no more "brain power" to push a button than it is to move your arm.

The only lag is that in a controller based game, you have been trained that a simple one button mapping does ...

I think people are mistaken. The bundle is called " Xbox 360 250GB", but the actual new console itself is called "Xbox 360 S". That is at least what it looks like on this page:

http://www.xbox.com/en-US/h...

That I found on that very same site.

How fast is your internet connection?

Most people's internet connection bandwidth doesn't exceed the wireless g speeds of (actual around 26mbps), let alone the n speeds. I'm on wireless g since I use a wireless bridge (configured with Tomato Linux firmware). My internet connection tops out at 12 mbps, way below the actual speed my wireless g can do.

It also means the majority of those 12 million plus accounts are active gamers and not a bunch of in-active multiple accounts.

I don't play exclusives. I play the games, and some of the greatest games are multi-platform.

However, others are free to only support exclusives. I don't enjoy stopping others from playing a great game, only fanboys are concnerned about that.

I support great games I enjoy to play!

I think it will be an awesome toy for the kids. I could only dream of this stuff when I was a kid. Probably why I'm pre-ordering it.... About 15 years too late.

So I guess this is selling well with the hardcore demographic of the 360 then? Clearly it is selling to someone....

This is 4 months until release, with little actual mainstream advertisement and it has been selling well at the $150 price tag. Everything indicates it will do well from actual gamers trying it out to all the pre-sell.

If Kinect succeeds, I guess Sony will look like idiots to all the people that think PS Eye is basically the same thing. After all, Sony had the technology first, right? Instead they copied the Wii....

This is not a suprise to me, Kinect has been selling well on amazon.com as well, almost four 4 months prior to release with a high price tag. If pre-sell is any indication, this thing will sell like hot cakes!

I'm saying that PS3 is lagging behind compared to the PS2 not to the Xbox 360. They are neck in neck the whole way.

I'm practically calling the race now, because there is nothing in the horizon that is likely to change the outcome. We have already seen the biggest exclusives released and none of that has made a significant dent.

The only thing that could change the market share is Kinect and PS Move albeit I have doubts about the latter as it is too m...

I didn't say I was an early adopter... However, for consoles I probably would. I stopped playing console games almost ten years ago and moved over to PC to play RTS. College started and I gave that up, but got the original Xbox very late into the cycle due to the awesome modding scene.

I didn't get my Xbox 360 and Wii until maybe two years into the cycle and I got a PS3 the year after. So no, I wouldn't call myself early adopter.

However, now I wo...

"PS3 has more and better exclusives, 20+ AAA studios vs nearly zero on MS..."

Sony do have more first party exclusives, but that doesn't mean those games appeal to everyone. That is just your preference.

"Only reason 360 survives is it's priced a lot cheaper (half the price in Europe and STILL outsold by the PS3) and due to dumb Americans chosing American products, even bad ones."

One can say the price is the 360s ...

My point is from a business stand point you reduce your risk if you invest into a known quantity.

A new studio is an unknown quantity. Even great studios fall and keeping them separate provides a much better goal for external studios to continue to innovate to stay on top. If you are an internal studio, you are sheltered from the risks involved, but your employees are also less likely to give their fullest.

Employees with part ownership in a company tends to ...

I think it is complete BS that it is too expensive to move to the next generation. I favor faster console cycles, with minor hardware upgrades.

Don't give me a $600 console at launch that is going to loose you $300 on every sale. By the time you hit 2 years into the life of the console, it is obsolete compared to reasonably priced technology that is out there. Give me a $300-400 box that you can make money on and re-introduce a new box 3-4 years down the line.
