I'm not sure capturing with HDMI is an option. As far as I know most content (not all) going over HDMI has HDCP i.e. it is protected to prevent piracy of content (more notably movies).
Desperate indeed.
I would sure hope not, because I can't see any game elements in GoW3 that would make sense with the wand. Somehow I don't think gamers would like to waggle Kratos in his fight....
MS is probably breaking even right now if not making a profit on each console sold and I'm referring to the Arcade model. MS is definitely making a profit on each Pro and Elite sold.
Recent estimates is showing Sony is just breaking even so MS will have the price advantage for a while....
If anything, Sony's wand is more likely to fail. Why?
a) A bundle would be expensive proposition for the PS3 that already isn't profitable on each hardware unit sold yet for Sony.
b) It is nothing, but an identical copy of Wii with motion+. Why would people interested in the Wii jump on the hardcore gamer system called PS3?
c) The casual market has shown that they don't care about accuracy, as they gobbled up 50 million Wii's without a complaint. Hardcor...
I think the truth is already out. We got a detailed analysis, pictures as proof, a story that matches up, multiple sources confirming the difference and a forum post that is not verifiable.
I think I'm going with the latter, the forum post seems most credible! /sarcasm
Good for you!
Just realize that you are supporting inferior PS3 version. I own all 3 consoles, but if I only owned a PS3 I would not buy this game. This has nothing to do with a console war (as I could care less), but rather supporting shoddy work.
If people are too blinded by their fanboyism to even see that, then I guess they get what they deserve!!!
NG2 on Master Ninja mode was pretty though for me to complete. However, I hear the DLC for it "Mission Mode" is even harder if that is even freaken possible to conquer.
Yeah I got your joke. I though initially that you did that as a shortcut. Some people use a lot of one letter abbreviations for words, like you = u.
Rev20 below posted this link with a video of more issues on the PS3 version:

If I were Sony Europe, I would be so pissed at paying for a timed exclusive on this game with all the bad publicity going on right now.
I think the picture is for the 360 version listed as the PS3. Notice the Y button and the Gamercard label in the picture.

What I'm confused about is as far as I can tell, there is only a forum post by a somebody. Why is this significant as opposed to somebody doing an analysis. Lens of Truth although a small site relatively speaking to the likes of IGN and Gamespot has done a thorough analysis every time with picture proof every time. Yet a forum ...
That nobel prize statement was obviously not serious.... am I missing something here why people are going bonkers over this?
From what I hear, games are on averaga in the 1 GB region so about 16 games with nothing else on it.
That frankly doesn't seem much, bu they you only get 3-6 hours to play it anyhow before each recharge.
Customers looking at this in retail stores will not necessarily compare it to the competitions price point (since there really isn't a direct competitor other than maybe the DSi), but rather to Sonys own PSP. In comparison then, this is considerably over-priced.
The PS3 is clearly capable of more than this. My guess is they put equal resources on the 360 and PS3. Realized how powerful the PS3 is, then screwed up when it was complicated to finish the product. Is this the studios first PS3 game?
However, it would be interesting to see a comparison of personnel resources needed on both 360 and PS3 to achieve the same result.
In this Dr. Dobbs Journal article, for simple Breadth First Search algorithm (this is taught in lower d...
Activision probably wants you to buy CoD:WaW or the new MW2 instead. In addition CoD4 is still selling really well and a drop in price isn't likely to spur enough new sales for them.
It is kind of rare that a both the original game and the sequel is manufactured and sold side by side this long after release. CoD4 has some long @ss legs.
I would welcome a new machine if it is a worthy upgrade i.e. not a minor update. I could care less about slim, because it doesn't add any significant updates. I wouldn't surprise me if a slim, sexier and more casual looking 360 came out next year though bundled with Natal.
Right now it seems all the updates are in software for the 360. You never know MS. They are really eager to win this console war. With a likely two year lead on Sony and the likely scenario of Wii HD being rel...
More promises. How about deliver the promises Sony already made? Sony always talking about the FAR FAR future.
edit: might be my mistake. it sounds almost as some of the games are already announced and not 15 unannounced upcoming first party games.
It is all about balance, but I wonder why Obama keeps picking on video games. Isn't TV or internet surfing equally as bad?
At least video games are moving the way of motion control with a little more activity involved....
Sony has a history of showing their cards way too early. This might have helped them in the Dreamcast days and to slow down the initial 360 momentum, but as soon as it was clear that Sony was charging $600 for the PS3 when it was released the 360 took off in sales.
My issue with Sony is these early promises that just continues to be promises for a long time. By the time it actually releases, the damn hype has died and I'm not that excited to get the game anymore. The only excepti...
lol at budgetgamer on edit2....
I think their analysis speaks pretty loudly when there have been winners on each console. Most notably Prince of Persia with just a very small advantage on the PS3 graphics that is in my opinion subjective i.e. they basically complained about how sharp the 360 version was as opposed to the PS3....
