The new entity will be called biothic!
.... or better yet, Mythware!
No compilations because they probably figured with multiple discs movie studios figure they can charge more. A compilation tends to yell "cheap"...
Ever seen those two unrelated DVD movie packs? Yeah!
So because you use your consoles in a specific way, everyone else is dead wrong and the 360 (or the Wii for that matter) has no value to others. Hmmm... what an interesting concept!
I think in the earlier days this was true and helped the PS3 gain traction (and mounting losses in the gaming division). Now, the PS3 is over priced as a standalone blu-ray player as one can be had around $150.
Greatest opportunity in the world is among other things dependent on how much Bethesda paid for id....
I don't think this game will really be missed for PS3 owners, but hey you could have gotten it for $10 at Best Buy on the 360 about a month ago.... It is probably dirt cheap now on ebay.
I don't tend to point out blogs or articles unless there is a clear history of writing on one extreme side. Simply there aren't too many of them, but Ben Dutka is one of them extremes ones.
For your information, I did read the article and if you look through my "news approval" you will clearly see that I approve news that is both positive and negative to the 360 and PS3.
Before calling people out, I suggest you go through their history before you blindly an...
Well this (the rebranding) is not even a rumour, but more like a theory.
I don't think they will easily drop the Xbox 360 name, because it could cause confusion. Will this older Xbox 360 game work with my new Xbox Natal thing-a-ma-jig?
Maybe something more like Xbox 360 Natal would make more sense instead of an entirely new name. It probably wouldn't be a successor like a PS1, PS2 and PS3 so confusion is bound to happen similar to what happened to HD-DVD.
I'm a proponent against DLC. Why? Other than Valve almost every other major digital download service cost as much as the retail version and limits you in the DRM (such as how many times you can download or transfer rights).
As a consumer you have almost no real benefits with all the downsides. Consider:
- old games carry a value (albeit for most it is next to nil, unless it is a rare collectible game)
- you are never restricted in lending your game away

Are you sure it is Unreal 2 and not 3? I just the other day saw a news post here about Splinter Cell using some features found in the latest Unreal 3 used for Gears of War 2.
For six months, since December last year we heard nothing upcoming. I started wondering if this and even next year would be a dissappointing year. At least I had a PS3 and a Wii.... but all of a sudden since E3 there are all these surprising things coming out from MS.
I'm very excited to see what else is coming in the next 1-2 years!
Everytime I see an article from Ben Dutka, I know it will be PS slanted. Just take a look at his article history....
Ignore and move on.
It wouldn't be too far fetched to assume that Sony might follow MS business model of selling over priced accessories after they strip them out of the PS3....
Maybe the newer 360 (slim) would instead use common desktop hard drives instead of the power efficient laptop drives. I mean, those things can on rare occassions already be had for around $60-90. In a year, those will be dirt cheap.
We all know that sinking money into a business (i.e. taking losses) to generate a profit in the future is common practice. Even more so in the console manufacturing business?
Is Sony doing anything better? I would argue they are worse off, as they are unable to grow business due to losses (price cut on PS3) while MS is increasing business while breaking even.
One can argue that MS is ripping people off, but at the moment MS is the one of the two HD consoles that has ...
I thought DLC is supposed to be cheaper especially since how the publishers are talking about savings from packaging, shipping, stolen merchandises & etc....
Instead this whole generation, we have been shafted by DLC. Not only by Sony, but by MS and Nintendo as well (to a lesser degree). I'm not a believer of DLC, as I found clearanced games all the time.
Recently I bought Prince of Persia for $15 at Target and not too long ago I picked up Ninja Blade for $20 (th...
Optional installs is a must on every game!
Installs aside, it is really the perfect balance between mandatory and no installs. Case in point:
a) SF IV the install significantly improved performance, without the installs it was slooow.
b) KZ2 had no installs (other than the patches), but instead I got long waits between major chapters and frequent 2-5 (some closer to 10 sec) waits in the chapter itself.
Given the option of optional install,...
I dont' understand why the hate towards Valve for not making L4D2 for PS3. I mean there are countless other developers that develop exclusively for the PS3, but we don't b!tch at them (such as Sucker Punch).
So what is up with the double standard? Or is it just the immense jealousy from PS3 fanboys for this game? If you want it that much, get a 360, it's only $200 and you get to enjoy best that both consoles offer!
Why are you bothering responding to deaf ears?
It is simply an excuse to rag on the 360.
Cool, so it get's one of those steel box cases and a paper sleeve on the outside. Wonder what enhancements they will make with the motion controls? Motion+ support?
