The author of the article says:

"So with so much to look forward to, why look back?"

Because there are great games from the PS2 era that even by today standard are still superb. I would like to revisit MGS series and God of War.

I can't exactly say the same for many random blog sites we get here. For $10 anyone can have a blog site.

Don't bother! It is clear that he is a fanboi with no intention of using logic. Ignore and move on....

Your argument is clearly unbiased and stating facts, yet you get disagrees. Either there are multiple accounts going on or there are a lot of fanbois here. I would guess the latter.

The darn thing does the exact same thing as a Windows computer, just more expensive. However, as much as I don't like the trendiness of Apple I have to admit the experience is unmatched.

Ever tried using Linux? It does the same thing Windows does or even Mac OSX. Know why it isn't popular? Because the experience on the other platform is unmatched even though they pretty much do the same thing.

On Xbox Live, there is so much more free content all around from IGN vide...

"One little known benefit of having gamers pay for Xbox Live is that the developers don't need to. On the Playstation Network, developers have to pay for their game's online features while on Xbox Live the subscription fees pay for that. This allows small developers to include online portions to their games without making huge risks."

"Finally, since gamers have to pay for Xbox Live, when cheaters and hackers are banned they are actually monetarily penalized. On th...

Although I see the developers/publishers view, I agree with you more than anything!

However, there are ways around this for publishers/developers, by for instance offer one-time codes for DLC incentives only included in new and sealed copies of the game. You bought it used and want this content, pay up!

I'm tired of select few consumers calling publishers greedy. Why? It is because as a software developer myself I can see the immense cost of development for each game. The retail price of the games haven't caught up to the explosion in complexity and development resources it takes to build a game. If you take into account the fact how many crappy games are released you suddenly realize the risk involved.

When I was a kid, the games cost $50 around 20 years ago. To put it in persp...

Not only the porn, but the stories are all weird. I recognize one of them to be of the kidnapped girl at a11 and kept as a slave wife for 18 years (or something like that).

I guess all the stories must be true... there are some really weird ones. It is really sad, yet intriguing!

What the hell is wrong with me!!!

If you get caught, you would end up with a criminal record. It is illegal to sell or be in possession of pirated software period!

There are no excuses, because stealing is stealing!!!

except for:

- the PS3 people that didn't have the option to buy the game
- the 360 owners that are huge fans (which are probably not that many considering how many games sold)

True, that Sony might have lost some sales by keeping the prices of those games so high, but if they lost less than half of the gamers they still come out ahead!

I think Sony for some reason keeps it standard to have their published games listed at a high price. I bought Heavenly Sword last Thanksgiving I think on amazon.com sale and got it for $20. I was surprised to find that it virtually had no price drops. I'm still waiting for a $20 Uncharted!

Oh, by the way I ...

I also hate the security guy at the doors checking receipts!

From what I saw on that BB list, nothing stood at as a good sale.

I'm sorry, but calling me lazy because you sent me to the investors relations section to do my own digging doesn't cut it. I'm not going to dig through that and is just a way for you (I didn't realize the article was written by you) to hide information again.

If you want to prove it, prove it with solid links to the sources not buried behind years of financial information. There is no cluttering of pages with a simple hyperlink (that is what they are made for) to the source.

The cheapeast I could find the XCM Cross Battle Adapter Plus (the latest version) that allows you to play Xbox 360 Wired controller on the PS3 with rumble is $45. However, be beware of fakes!

In my opinion, even $45 is too expensive for an item that does very little. ...

I thought that was pretty cool. I have seen people mod it, but that requires thinkering. This is straight out of the box.

Note that the Xbox 360 controller isn't wireless, but features rumble. The PS3 is wireless, but lacks rumble. Go figure!

Yeah, but Mad Catz is not know to create quality products. The only one I ever know of is the SFIV TE joysticks that didn't even have a single Mad Catz part!!!

I tend to agree with edge's scores, but they do have the oddball now and then.

I prefer the school grading system, A, B, C and etc.... Most quality games should fall in the B region and average is C. Anything else below is cr@p!

GameStop is making a killing of used video games and essentially created a large secondary market that bypass publishers/developers (the very people that create the product). However, this is no different than used DVD or music sales.

I see Jaffe's argument pretty reasonable although both have an attitude that does not promote discussion.

a) Publishers/developers can bypass retailers completely, but that would also affect hardware and accessory sales. Meaning, retail...
