There are companies that make attachments that will hold all three of kinect, PS eye and the wii sensor and attach to the top of your TV right now, they're pretty cool.
I think what he meant is that if you're making games for both you have to make games for the lower performing machine. This is probably most visible today when all of the cross plat. games that the PS3 got that are basically direct ports of the 360 version without any improvements.
If this is true, there are a lot of N4G users that post here that should probably play video games a LOT more, based on the comments they write which show a distinct lack of cognitive ability.
I'm not worried about the price, I can easily afford it. My concern is paying *that* price for *that* piece of hardware, and what do I get for my money? There has to be a good reason to spend all that money up front to play only a few games when I could easily take that same amount of money and buy many games for either my PC, 360, PS3, Ouya or Nexus 7.
For me, I just don't think the Wii does enough things to be worth the current price. It can't even play DVD...
If they did a price drop of about 50 bucks I'd buy one.
I don't see a problem with Dead Space 3 in the fact that you can buy resources if you want to. The game doesn't 'advertise' this to you. What I find annoying are the three bot upgrades that they are trying to sell to you that should have been included in the game with a normal upgrade path. They want you to pay 400 points to increase the 'amount' the bots can harvest/carry, which would be a trivial code change of a few moment's work and not something worth 400 p...
You're probably right but I just wonder when the hell they're going to start making something new besides mario/zelda/donkey kong games until the end of time. They pump them out so frequently it is amazing that they don't saturate their own market out from under themselves.
I think mostly children must post on this site as it sounds like the same stuff I used to hear in the playground in the NES days when it was C64 vs NES vs SMS. Meanwhile the intelligent people just take a wait and see approach and if more than one console turns out to be a good platform with good games, we'll buy one of each. People seem to forget that the Kinect is of such a high quality at the price you can get it for that a lot of people in the amateur robotics field use it as their primary sensor array for their robotics builds. It is very much in demand in that field. I'm not saying that the games are any good. I've played a few and I thought they were OK but something like that would and should never replace the controller in general.

The horror genre is not dying out. I think the action market is bigger, so it's easy to make your game less scary to make more money. To greedy companies it's a no brainer.
