That requires the fanboys to read. Who wants to do that when it's easier to just jump in and flame on.
"Now the next Xbox will be launching right along side a much more powerful console in the PS4."
Isn't the same story as this gen? PS3 more powerful than 360? Didn't stop MS from taking a massive bite out of Sony's apple.
Just to point this out...
At launch, Xbox 360 was $299 and $399. If MS could do it, why can't Sony? You'd think they hopefully learned something from the debacle that was the PS3 launch.
Sony definitely threw down a gauntlet. But I've never been one to get all googly-eyed over exclusives. Most of my favorite games this gen were multiplat anyway.
One of my biggest problems with the PS has been its controller. That's why I tend to lean xbox. But the DS4 looks beautiful. The revamped joysticks and new design look like so much win. Combined with MS's insistence on destroying the second hand game market with their online only approach, the PS4 might be...
Meh. It looks how I would expect KZ on PS4 to look. No surprises here really.
I don't understand anyone who thinks KZ2 looks better than the pre-rendered target. Honestly, I don't understand the people who say it was even close. If they had pre-rendered low res textures and massive jagged aliasing, then maybe it woulda been close.
My opinion, that was one of the biggest marketing fails of the generation, and it setup one of the biggest disappointments of Sony's lineup.
Couldn't disagree more and I feel sorry for you that you're unable to experience the intimacy of some of these movies. Heat is a masterpiece on every level. The sex in Good Will Hunting is sole of the best character development in the movie. Also The Cooler with William H Macy. And for the all time high, watch The Dreamers.
If you're unable to enjoy sex in movies when it's done tastefully and with purpose, then it sounds like you have a problem with sex, not ...
This might sound obvious, but just wait and see if Akio Ohtsuka voices Snake in the Japanese version. , Since Akio has done every MGS game since MGS, it would make sense that if Akio's doing the Japanese Snake, David will be doing the English Snake.
EDIT: I see Heavenly King said this already below.
I'm forced to ask: did any of you read the "offending" Steven Boone article? He makes some very relevant points about the games industry, some points that we shouldn't be too quick to dismiss. If you can take your Naughty Dog fanboy hats off for a second, you might consider something different for a change.
Ebert wasn't shitting on TLOU. He was merely quoting the title of the article.
umm the guy says right up front that he has no problem with video game violence. He was writing about violence within the metal gear franchise specifically.
so your snarky mk comment is kind of retarded. and your sassy follow up even more so.
@ Ascalon
Because I think differently from you?
Have to admit, I was kind of underwhelmed.
@blacktric
Just because you feel entitled and whiney doesn't mean they owe you. You shelled out money for a game they made. It's as simple as that. It's not like you were sending them pizza every night or helping them with their rent/bills.
Listen again. Same guy. Just a different reverb or something.
ME3 is far from "the epitome of everything wrong in gaming." To many of us sane, well-adjusted gamers in the world, it was kind of the opposite - the shining example and what can happen when writing, story, gameplay, graphics, music, and sound all come together in a cohesive, interactive, and emotional experience.
Simple solution: ignore the hype.
The reality: the game is outstanding. The nerd rage is pathetic.
I'll defend them. ME3 is a sweeping achievement of planning, coding, writing, acting, and design. It highlights the very best that video games can be when they strive to do more than just rack up a body count. It's that rare moment when a game becomes art.
I loved every friggin' minute of ME3. And I can't wait to start over from ME1.
Sounds awesome. AC in the forest, climbing trees and snow stealth. Just what I didn't know I wanted. Kind of can't wait to see Valley Forge.
@Korn
That's how we know you're using them wrong.
