We the way he describes DX12 balancing the load across multiple cores, seems that DX12 could be what jumps up the graphics.
Soooo...is thereddragon the new hiphopgamer?
@ Ali, how do you figure?
Such a pretty game. And my god, the sound design is the best I've heard, especially on a 7.1 home theater. The sound imaging is immaculate. Every time a mobile command units blow up or a checkpoint crumbles it's ear candy. I agree with some of the reviews that the gameplay takes a half step back from I2, but I'm just nitpicking. I also platinumed recently.
Also the best written game of the generation. They kept it simple and really just focused on making Deslin an...
Without 4K content, do you notice a difference in picture quality? Is it real or imagined?
That's the one! It's so frakking beautiful.
I decided to bite at 3D when I upgraded. Went with LG LED 240hz. Almost never use the smooth motion though. The game mode has virtually no latency and the response time is so immediate. I love it. Plus, once calibrated, it's a pretty sweet reference monitor for blurays and TV viewing.
@Boys - if you're gonna write flamebait, then own it as flamebait. Don't come into the comments of your own blog to defend it. Just sounds weak.
On topic: there's nothing wrong with the ps4. As far as launch lineups go, this is one of the strongest I've seen. From both consoles. And it's only getting better.
@Hatsune: "which indicates that xbox one is in big trouble"
What does big trouble look like in your world? Because I don't think you understand that phrase. Both Sony and MS are making money off these systems. Big money. Only fanboys worry and bite their nails over which sells more.
I'm sure that's the in-game engine, but I bet it's running as an animation, not gameplay, and on a high end PC too, so I doubt it'll look THAT good. I hope they can get close to that though.
More importantly, I hope they take a hard look at their mission and control designs. Kill the eavesdropping/follow target objectives or build a sneaking mechanic that doesn't make both of those things so frakking frustrating. Also, I lost track of how many times in ACB...
Is there a way to downvote this type of story in its entirety?
I never run the smooth effects. It increases lag and I'd rather maximize responsiveness.
Can you learn how to use a keyboard/punctuation? Jesus.
Let's just hope it's less than 50% cutscenes. I loved MGS4 but it's ratio was a bit of a joke. My first playthrough was almost 20 hours. Skipping all cutscenes, my 2nd playthrough on HARDEST was less than 8.
Yes.
Pedro, whoever's playing that leaked SS gameplay kinda sucks. lol
But still, super stoked for this game. Preordered yesterday. Looking forward to the extra content. Wheee!
I'm team awesome games. That's what I root for. Whatever system they're on.
It's a shame we don't care about fun anymore...
Is this all that the next gen is going to be? Debates and articles about pixels and frames per second?
Yawn.
@fr0sty "Contrast is cranked and blacks are crushed on X1 as usual."
If you're talking from your own experience, then you badly need to calibrate your screen, because TF's contrast is fine and nothing like what this video shows. I have no problem seeing into the shadows on my xb1. Infamous is a much darker, more contrasty game than TF. The "as usual" of your comment tells me you either don't own an xb1 or your screen's settings are still on...
