Wow, I'm definitely getting this, though I'm gonna just get the full disk ver., and not bother with any of the other crap.
Why is this article still here? I thought it would have been buried by now. I'm just getting tired of seeing this whenever I come on to the site to see if anything interesting is happening (guess not).
I agree with the everything but the points on the Wii U gamepad, and never found it that awkward or as annoying as the author suggests. The price of the system is comparable to the rest of the current gen. crop (actually cheaper), but what makes it seem so overpriced was all of the ports that are readily available any number of other places for much cheaper, (and unfortunately for Wii U, not nerfed). I just want to see what Nintendo will show around E3, since they've said they want to hig...
As brought to you by captain obvious.
It's called help, ;P
That is wonderful news, and I can hardly wait.
I agree, it has been a wait, just glad to have a date to finally look forward to (though I have plenty to keep me busy, so summer drought is a no biggie for me).
Wow, GRID is really looking like it is all downhill from now on, and while I really enjoyed the first DiRT (mostly for track selection and some of the event types), it too, seems to be in decline (as for me, peaked with DiRT 2).
So true, but I do like that new pulled back cockpit cam that was above the driver's head (I like how you get the cockpit view, but with more peripheral awareness), hope it's not just a replay cam.
I agree that list seems a bit b.s., but of all that Nintendo's is what excites me, just sayin'.
Maybe what is going on, is that this is an online game only (fair enough) with no single player component whatsoever, which would make the full $60 retail version pretty much useless also without the PS+ subscription. Has this been clarified?
Yeah, it may be good for trying it out, but who would do that upgrade? You lose access to your game that you paid $10 shy of the full retail version (unless I'm unclear on everything that I've been seeing). It seems better to just eat the $10 and buy the full game, after you try the game, and if you like it.
I could go for a Vita ver. of this. Would fit right in with most of my library on here anyway (mostly rpgs and srpgs anyway).
Well, I probably will end up getting both versions. I like the idea of getting the game earlier on the 3DS (so I can get to grips with the game), and then get the big console version later and give the 3DS version to my kids.
Conceptually, this has piqued my interest. Though, I'm worried that it will be an experience where you blitz through the game so fast, that anything interesting from the concept will be lost, or worse yet, simply be reduced to background noise in favor of mp (either one is such a waste for the potential). I used to really enjoy the campaigns (mostly in the WW II era games). COD's story wise haven't felt cohesive in quite a while. I have no idea why the style of story pacing used i...
Same here, but I'm prioritizing TW101 (love the WW HD redux, but I've already completed it back on GC, and now just pick it up between sessions of everything else on my backlog).
Woohoo! Just saw on Club Nintendo, I can get Pikman 3 for free (have been thinking about getting it, and now I get it for free, by registering Mario Kart 8, which I'm getting anyway).
What?
Wolfenstein and Mario Kart are the may games I'm picking up, I'm still on the fence over Watchdogs, but who knows.
Now that I think about it, (mainly because I've been playing some of that GBA Advance Wars again on Wii U) I would like to see a new one made, that was a hybrid of the OG strategy and that (GC, I think) 3rd person action one. Hell you could do that with any of the SRPGs (i.e. - C&C, Star/War-craft, etc.). How do people not see these kinds of applications on the Wii U? Also, how has the gamepad not been used as rear view in a kart racer yet? It has the gyroscope function you're hol...
