While I agree, that I wouldn't buy one with those (or similar) titles in mind, I certainly wouldn't have a problem picking them up if I already had the Wii U. So, how does that hold up as an argument for why it's niche? Besides, of all the "next" gen. consoles the Wii U is the only one really supporting local mp (online is fine, but I rather enjoy playing with the other people in my house).
But, those consoles were marketed for everybody, and just didn't take off (either because they didn't get as much 3rd party support as the competition, or were to expensive, or had shaken consumer faith with missteps from previous generations, lookin' at you Sega).
That's great to hear for the Philippines, not so much on the price, though -_-
Lol, at all the "I'm gonna boycott this if it's only on the Wii U", especially the ones saying that even if they get the Wii U, butthurt much?
Do the older pdp Afterglows work? Just curious, I bought a set back when the Wii U came out for that, but it is compatible with the PS3 and 360, etc. On the PS4 are you using it wireless, or through the port on the controller?
I actually started watching, to see if there would be any new reveals, etc. After seeing how the people putting that thing on didn't even care about it, I left (had something more important and pressing to do, actually watching paint dry).
As a fan, this... ", this is still very much a Gran Turismo game out on the track." makes me happy. More improvements could be made, and would be welcome, but the most important aspect, how it feels on the track, just keep the refinements coming and I'm good.
Awesome, pretty neat :D
It's great for anyone, but yeah.
That was nice, but I would hardly call that photo-realistic.
The character was probably supposed to be parallel to ground face down on it, and the geometry, collision boxes got hung up, pretty hilarious looking though.
@johndoe1121 I doubt that this is exactly the game that GG wanted to make, and whether or not it is compared to COD or Battlefield isn't the point, Joe made some fair criticism (plus he still rated the game slightly above average, which it is on the whole). The game has outstanding visual polish, and the gameplay is solid, but even I feel that it fell a tad short of the previous 2 PS3 titles (hell even a little short of the recently released PS Vita game). In the end it is just his opinio...
I am so gonna get this game, I haven't had the pleasure of playing any of the past versions. I had a friend that had this back on the original Xbox back in the day (that game looked awesome back then), I didn't get an Xbox till way late in the cycle (and only could get about 4 games in a year) so yeah I missed out.
I think this is auto only as well (at least nothing stuck out, you can't even change the controller config.). Still a very fun game though. Man there's nothing else quite like this where your bombing along outrunning the cops and other racers only to realize some of them are other players, and that tension you feel until you either bank (or fail to bank) your hard fought for points. It's a whole lot of fun.
@Acemanwise - You could try the scalpers, just kidding. I hope those d-bags don't get any sales and get stuck with all the extra consoles that they bought. The crazy part about it was there were a crap ton of people still sitting outside in line, watching people leave with 3 and 4 boxes under their arms. Just didn't seem fair to those guys, but whatever (guess they should've pre-ordered). Now they really should wait, at least until stores are restocked (or longer if they want to h...
I haven't even decided if I like the anime yet, but new games are good.
All good games, now start bringing on the RPGS, JRPGS, SRPGS, really just whatever keep them coming.
edit - Also, I wants my Diablo III, I already know it's coming.
@Iamnsuperman - I know, I was agreeing and just echoing what I read in the article, or am I misunderstanding?
Not necessarily, but I believe the point was that someone could gain access to another's account with (like in the article's example, a picture which happened to be displayed on a tablet held in front of the camera) someone else's pic. They were simply suggesting to heed Sony's disclaimer and to not use this feature as a level of security, to which I would agree.
Speak for yourself. Who is this "we" you speak of? I am certainly looking forward to this game, and will gladly pick it up on release.
