PSNow kinda sucks, too.
This really seems like some b.s., games as a service? These people really don't like the idea of having a fixed product that we (consumers) can buy for a fixed amount of money to do with as we please. This is getting to be a hobby that no longer suits me. No thanks, if I'm picking up something older pre-owned still sounds better to me. Example, say you pick up a game for 20 that only gets you 4 mo. access (for 10 more sure you get a year), and you might say what about the other games ...
I'd hardly call it awful, uninspired? sure. It went to ok from time to time. I think there are far worse examples of poor V.A. in other games (hell, it's easier and shorter to come up with a list of well-acted games).
I don't really care if they reset my character as getting back to that point is cake, but it would be cool if you could keep some (or all) of the stuff you find (since you have to be the appropriate level to use it anyway (I have rare/blue stuff beyond my level), that I would love to try out.
Though only if the scope has the display in it that mirrors what the scope reticle on screen displays, then I'd be game (for a niche peripheral for a single game, geez I'm so sad, :_(, lol).
All of the chests respawn save for the Gold ones, and some also seem to move locations. Every time I drop down from the tower or switch areas, I hit up known chests areas and stock up (just not to this extreme, because glimmer comes easy enough to load up on Tower stuff).
But the Crew seems to be more in line with what Rockstar's Smuggler's Run was (they've even stated that themselves in an interview). Sure it will have some of what you are talking about, for those seeking that, but I'm sure there are just as many people looking to take advantage of those Raid spec. vehicles to battle off the roads, too.
With lots of speeding tickets, and the worlds greatest luck (considering you would need to have practically no traffic). Who knows though, if you could do it as the crow flies, like the game allows, lol.
I will definitely pick up a couple of those, well I got a couple errands to run today, guess I'm adding a $20 PSN card to the list.
Okay, I can go with it not being a good fit for you, but I don't think age has much to do with it, I'm older than you, and still find the game mad fun. Destiny has plenty off the beaten path, it's just typically occupied by ??lvl baddies.

It seems like fair criticism to me, and besides isn't this time leading up to the retail launch for polishing and what-not anyway. The game is great as is, but who in their right mind would complain about additional polish (especially if it comes to an area already observed, nitpick or not).
I haven't been actively looking to join a group, but I'm willing to join anyone that asks (btw helrazor343 on PSN. So far I've joined up with a few, and had a blast each time.
With the retail preorder, when you redeemed your code on Bungie's website they give you 3 codes for you and up to 2 friends, enough for a full strike team.

I may have to check this out, played a demo of the first one, and thought it was kinda neat (but just never pulled the trigger on that one), maybe I'll grab this one.
