I fully agree! I loved my 3DS. It has gotten a lot of love over the years, but it is time to let it go. Or at the very least, let it be the secondary target for development after the Switch. The Switch needs new games on it to flesh out its library. Get moving on that! I'm shocked that there haven't been any ports/remasters of older 3DS games for the Switch to boot. I hope development for the 3DS finally starts slowing down and giving way to the Switch, like many of us believed it wou...

If you had a Wii U, as I did, your choice to wait was a wise one. Odyssey was quite good and I enjoy M+R:Kingdom Battle (Golf Story was super meh). After the early months, my Switch has just sat unused. I played the Octopath demo and it seemed fun, but it didn't seem worth a $60 day-one pickup. I'll likely pick it up down the line though. And the recent E3 didn't give me much hope for the extended future either. If you're a Smash or Pokemon guy I guess you've got those com...

@Neonridr - Eh. That specific article was a duplicate. One of them said Mario Aces was the winner for the month. I also don't see an issue with taking that same information and saying "MS is struggling because these two PS4 exclusives are top sellers months after their actual launch windows". You can take multiple things away from the same information.

@fonger08 - I would disagree with your statement from the standpoint that, unless you are solely saying they ...

I'll be honest, it is mostly selfish :-p

I didn't initially mind the ports because I understood the need to pump out a lot of quality content to start out the Switch's library. But they just keep dipping into the well, and it is going to be strange when essentially the entire Wii U lineup ends up on Switch. A lot of the library has already ended up there and the more that gets added from Wii U to Switch just decreased the value of the Wii U for those that own it...

Leave my Wii U games alone! That poor system has so little identity left...Every game that comes over makes my Wii U feel more like the beta console it seems to have truly been.

The Switch needs more games to call its own anyway. I think PhoenixUp has a good idea with remastering GameCube and Wii games. Help bulk up their lineup with more variety than just "Wii U title with slightly higher resolution". I enjoyed Odyssey and Kingdom Battle, but it'd be great to...

The game's art style was great, but it definitely had issues with some of the presentation. As Harryvok said, it looked great in handheld. But if you put that up on a bigger screen, certain things just became way too aliased. The grassy fields didn't feel so much like wavy plains of grass than they did a sea of soupy pixels. It didn't kill my enjoyment of the game (think I got about 80 or so hours out of it), but some things definitely looked rougher than others - at least to my e...

Which games do you have? I've gotten Kingdom Battle and Mario Odyssey (and Golf Story, which was meh). I liked those, but the deluge of Wii U ports the Switch has gotten doesn't do much for me because I still have my Wii U. I haven't gotten ARMS or Splatoon 2 because I'm not much of an online PvP typed guy and I understand their campaigns are pretty simple or short.

Any recommendations from what you have that I don't? I've had Xenoblade in the back o...

100% with you. I got the Switch after owning a Wii U. It's uses have been limited. And while I know lots of people love Smash and Pokemon, they are not my cup of tea either (nor are games like the upcoming Yoshi).

I was really hoping we'd start to get some of those developers from the 3DS to transition over to Switch - get some more grunt behind some of their solid AA titles. I think well priced AA titles like what the 3DS had would be great additions to the Switch ...

@capjacksparrow Thanks for the solidarity! I knew I'd get an avalanche of downvotes; in a positive GTA5 article, and a game tons of people play and still enjoy. Certainly knew it wouldn't be a popular opinion, but tried to phrase it respectfully so people knew I wasn't crapping on what they enjoy - just that I didn't get it and that I hoped, like they hope, that the next thing Rockstar puts out is their best game ever.

@UnSelf I'm glad that GTA5 has give...

Are you guys going off what those who saw the actual demo were saying, or did you guys somehow see it?

In any event, CDPR said that the demo shown off at E3 was earlier than alpha and that "fans can wait a few more years" to play it. So they certainly sound like they have time to get this stuff right. I truly hate that they've shown this game off how they have though. Showing a teaser trailer over 5 years ago, and now building up hype by showing everyone but ...

I hope RDR2 is considerably better. I keep trying GTAs and just being completely let down by them. I know other people love them, and I want to love them too, but I sadly just don't ever seem to be able to understand their appeal. Their metacritic scores completely confound me lol

Would those who complain really prefer Steam to have the ultimate, absolute 100% monopoly on PC games distribution? I mean, they basically already do, but I can't see how being unchallenged would be beneficial to anyone.

And if we didn't have launchers and had to keep track of all our individual game purchases from all the stores we bought keys/installers from (like, as you mentioned, you could do through GOG with individual installs), people would complain...less? ...

True. And moreso than just annoying, it is potentially going to be damaging to the game. Perhaps the game is as mind blowing and evolutionary as we have been told, but if it is anything less than the second coming...well, we've been hyped to hell and back, so we're going to feel let down. All we have are words and hype. That draws a picture in our head that is going to be tough to match. The fact they've let it go this long without showing it seems like a huge risk to me.

I had something like this for my Sega Genesis :-). It was...meh. I agree that there just can't be any advancement great enough to turn this from gimmick into "a whole new kind of experience"

Google having the deep pockets they have, the contacts they have, and the minds that work for them (or they can hire), I think it would be foolish to believe they don't at least stand a chance. I think if they go for a traditional console, it has interesting potential. Let's look at the possibilities.

If, for a first step, they could line up a few exclusives and make sure big 3rd party games launch day/date with the other systems, off to a good start. Price it compe...

Seems to be available to purchase on BestBuy online, and was available for pickup within an hour at all 25 stores close to me. Not saying you aren't having issues in your area, obviously, just letting people know other potential options still seem to be out there if looking to grab a physical copy now.

The framerate and rending were more of the concern over resolution for me, and I can see they are making solid strides. Haze runs pretty well and doesn't seem to have many graphical or audio glitches (one cannot say the same for Ghost Recon lol). Given Sony hasn't provided any real backwards compatibility options, this is something I might consider. I still have my PS3 hooked up if I have a hankering for some last gen goodness, but I also wouldn't mind playing those games with eit...

Nintendo Enthusiast's best of show is essentially the only game that Nintendo showed? I can barely contain my shock and surprise :-p

(Just a light poking. I just couldn't believe how this E3 was basically the Smash show lol)

So...what is the deal with you taking the last paragraph of Sm00thNinja literally one comment up from yours? That's a little bit weird. And lame.
