I feel like this gets said of just about every new iteration of the series lol. I've tried Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate and MH Generations. Neither managed to pull me in. I'll give the beta a shot for Worlds cuz I want to like the series, but for whatever reason it just never seems to hook me.

And sure, there is some jankiness in terms of key reselling, I'll give you that. But for the most part, that is a business of people buying from a poorer market and reselling in a more affluent market. That is also something that is legal to do with physical goods. Happens all the time getting things from Shenzhen for pennies on the dollar & reselling for more. It's why we've lost a lot of production in the US to other countri...
@Princess_Pilfer
Apt name :-p Also prepare yourself for a deluge of text! Sorry about this... (Part 1 of 2)
I've seen the study that pirates are more likely to spend more on media. I find this a sticky subject because I don't know how one can know how much the value of the things they stole is versus what they buy. Yes, there is a net positive on the expenditures on media, but you know there are going to be things that are stolen & enjoyed, bu...
It's a pirates fault it's there to begin with. If everyone just bought the thing like they should, anti-tamper tech wouldn't be needed.
I don't care what logic people use, stealing is stealing. Fair is fair, and there is no way that not paying for something while someone else is is fair. Not paying for something that you end up enjoying when it is meant to be bought is not fair. I don't care that people look to vague statistics (that are never linked to,...
As a quick reminder to those with Best Buy's Gamer's Club, you can get it for $64 there. But for those without, this is a solid deal indeed.
Shocking to see how this game garnered such hype, interest, and goodwill during its Alphas and Betas only to - from what I've seen so far - be widely disliked by fans and critics alike. It's a rare sight to see.
I love my PSVR too! I'm looking forward to trying out this experience and some of the new stuff they showed off looked great! I've got Farpoint on my xmas list, so hopefully I'll get to check that out by months end.
However, after enjoying my PSVR I wanted to check out more of this awesome medium & when the Summer of Rift hit, I couldn't resist. I'm here to say there are incredible experiences to be had on both PSVR & PCVR that can only be found ...
Kyle Bosman will be pleased
To be fair, I don't think any combination of actors could have made that new Ghostbusters flick entertaining. It was a poor script and poorly executed. McCarthy can be hit and (very) miss, but I wouldn't rest the steaming pile that is GB solely on her shoulders lol.
Looks good. I enjoyed the last couple, so hopefully this is a continuation. On the one hand, happy to get more quality games for my Switch! On the other...Damn it! They keep releasing exclusives from the Wii U on other platforms. Sure, I got to play the games a while ago, but it still sucks holding on to a console knowing really, in another year or two you'll likely not have anything you can't play elsewhere. Sucks for a console hoarder like me lol
I read comment sections for a lot of websites and from what I've seen...it, uh...it doesn't bode well for the headline lol
At times it feels like Battle Royale is taking over the development focus, and the whole initial game idea in "Save the World" is taking a back seat. I'd like to see them make larger strides in the main game, you know, the paid early access game. There needs to be more variety in there!
Yea. The fact that Shield is getting it first is truly bizarre. You'd think with all the clambering people have done for Virtual Console on Switch, Nintendo would want that to be shown on Switch first. Maybe they are working out the kinks in a limited capacity by using Shield first? I can't quite figure out the thought process. Interesting nonetheless!
Which game was that? The only Metal Gear game I can recall coming to the Vita was the MGS HD Collection. The PSP had a bunch of spinoffs in ACID and Portable Ops. Curious what ended up going to the Shield...
The game also launched on Vive, so I'm not sure why PCaficionado was reviewing the PSVR version - unless they had another review showing the Vive version in a much better light.
Paradoxically, given PSVR is the only version with concurrent tracked motion controllers + smooth locomotion (not just controller smooth locomotion), many people think the PSVR version is the better between the two. This whole launch has been very weird though. There is a decent game hiding in ...
According to the press release on that very site, they have at least co-published the game Tree of Life, which is on Steam. It is a multiplayer survival game to some extent, so 1 point in the "actual" category.
However, the other titles in that very same press release show iOS, Android & Facebook games. And when you look at their twitter info, it says "Brand new mobile game publisher based in Munich". Though the last tweet they made was from 2016, s...
Yea, I agree. Given the money they are making on Shark Cards, and their complete abandonment of single player content for GTA5, I think we all knew in our heart-of-hearts what to expect of Rockstar games going forward, even if we want to hope against hope that such a great franchise won't be tarnished by these things.
I truly hope that if they do go this route, they at least leave the single player portion alone and relegate the nickle and diming to whatever online comp...
@opinionated If people can't bring their concerns to those in a position to decide and make potential changes, including an outcome where they agree with (I assume) your positions that loot boxes aren't gambling, what do you want people to do? If it isn't up to people. Or gambling commissions. Or lawyers. Or politicians...Who exactly is it ultimately up to to decide? Perhaps I'm being obtuse, but I'm not sure what your argument here is.
It's a shame that the Starter Edition doesn't let you play that content without a monthly subscription, or at least include like...6 months to let you really get into the game before it asks you to sump up the monthly fee. I would love to play this game, but I have a hard time justifying the $15 a month on top of software purchase.
They may not be the best experiences in comparison, but for my quick MMO cravings I guess I'll just keep hitting up GW2 or TESO. Ho...
I agree. That's what I'm waiting for. Got a freighter and a few nice ships, and I managed to get 3 of my friends interested in the game along the way (especially after patch 1.3). But we've all pretty much lost our ambition once reaching the freighter. If we can play together, that will be a HUGE boon!
Also, I'd love a VR version, but I'm guessing they won't be focusing on that for 2018 really, if ever. I think they will focus their small-team effort...
