While I agree that those games are now used by fanboys to fight their stupid console war fights it's not unreasonable to compare the two imo. Let's not forget that fanboys will always find something to fight over. If it wasn't Uncharted vs Tomb Raider it would've been Uncharted vs Gears again (which makes much less sense in comparison).

I was wondering if the abscence of Zelda could mean that it is no longer a Wii-U game. I know this is pure speculation but with Wii-U selling that bad I wouldn't be surprised if Nintendo pushed the game to the NX.
Final Fantasy is popular all around the world and a port to X1 isn't that hard to do. Unless the deal with Sony has prevented them from porting it to Xbox One they probably will do it even though it won't sell nearly as much on Xbox.
Uncharted is setting new standards that other devs will try to replicate in their upcoming games. Tomb Raider surely looks good but it seems that it's trying to catch up to what previous Uncharted games already accomplished while Uncharted is raising the bar once again.
Sony, Microsoft, Bethesda and Square Enix all had great conferences. EA and Nintendo were underwhelming imo.

Honestly they are playing with fire by remaking VII no matter how they do it. It's a game that a lot of people remember as one of their favorite games of all time. As soon as something doesn't match their nostalgic memories people will complain. In other words they pretty much can only lose. That's why I never thought an FF VII remake would ever happen. It's just too risky.

Yeah. Expectations for ND games are extremely high and yet somehow they still manage to exceed them every time. It's crazy how good they are.
MGS V looks great but it doesn't push the hardware nearly as much as Uncharted 4. The physics in Uncharted 4 are second to none.

Agreed. But MS, Bethesda and Square Enix had awesome conferences as well. Ubisoft was pretty good too. It's just that Sony had one of the greatest conferences in E3 history imo. I didn't think they could top the backwards compatibility megaton announcement but when they started wit TLG I knew they have more megatons to come.

Agreed. Some people like to hate on it because of Phil Fish. In the end all I care about is the game's quality. If I decided on which games I play, which movies I watch and which music I listen to by the politeness of the people involved I would've missed out on some of the best of them.
