I wonder if Bloodborne will get a sequel and how that would influence the continuation of the Dark Souls franchise.
@Farsendor1:
Thanks. Nice to hear it's coming that early. I guess they'll start revealing the roster soon then. Hopefully we'll get to see some new characters in action at E3.
2015 seems very unlikely considering they haven't announced most of the fighters roster yet. I personally think it'll be a Q3 2016 release. I guess we'll know more after E3.
Kojima is what kept Konami in the business. Only thing they have left now is PES and I doubt that will be enough. It's hard to understand how a company can be so blind. They don't even realise that they've dug their own grave by firing Kojima.
That's cool. The load times never bothered me much but shorter load times are always welcome. Glad they are trying to improve the performance as well.
One thing I really want them to patch in though is the option to disable chromatic aberration. It looks very bad in my opinion. I even checked if my HDMI cable and my TV are functioning correctly until I found out that they it's a graphical effect that was put in there on purpose. hopefully they can squeeze that in into...
It took me 7 hours to complete it with all collectibles. I've probably spent about an hour on collecting the collectibles I've missed after I've beaten the game so I'd say a normal playthrough would last about 5 and a half to 6 hours.
Awesome game. Just finished it on PC a few weeks ago. Can definately recommend it for platforming/puzzle fans.
Still haven't played the game. Might pick it up on PC once it's cheaper. I've lost interesst in GTA after Vice City but GTA V looks interessting enough for me to return to the franchise.
Those spec requirements are fairly low as well. Seems like Rockstar did a good job porting the game to PC.
@author: You might wanna include a line break between Memory and Video Card. At first I read it as "8GB Video Card".
I wouldn't call the graphics great. And the framerate is nowhere near terrible. Some frame timings seem to be off from time to time which results in stutter. The artstyle is great but technically it has some issues like aliasing and some low res textures here and there.
The Order isn't perfect. But neither are critically acclaimed games. It's just that the game got nitpicked to death. You're saying it has a dumb and simplistic AI but games like Demon's Souls and Ni no Kuni had some really bad AI and nobody seemed to care. Even The Last of Us on PS3 had some weird AI behavior and is considered Game of the Generation by a lot of people.
Games like TES: Oblivion, Skyrim and GTA4 won Goty awards despite having a long list of fla...
I can't compare them like that but if I'll group some of them I can make a personal tierlist:
God Tier: VII, VIII, IX
Can't decide between the three of them. The PSOne era is by far my favorite FF era and all of those games are among my favorite games of all time.
High Tier: FFVI
Just under the three god tier games. I'd still consider it one of my favorite games it just doesn't quite reach the same level ...
I got strategy. Weird since strategy is pretty far down on my list of preferred genres.
My problem with the test was that I couldn't choose a definitive answer to most of those questions. I love story based singleplayer games but I also love skillbased multiplayer games. I like almost all types of games besides simulations and sport games.
@Multiplatguy: I don't think that the majority of the users on sites like n4g are fanboys. The problem is that the fanboys are so damn vocal. They are having the same old arguments over and over again. It's like watching the same movie for the 20th time - you know exactly what will happen next.
You can't really have a normal conversation about games in those comment sections. Most people are tired of that stuff and stay out of those conversations all together.
Are those numbers really great though? I normally don't pay attention to sales numbers but I really want The Order 1886 to do good enough sales-wise to warrant a sequel. For me it looks like the numbers have fallen off a cliff after the first week.
I guess the development of The Order 1886 wasn't exactly cheap. I have no idea how many copies they need to sell to make a profit I just hope that it'll be enough.
I hope to get an update on Shadow of the Beast.
Agreed. God of War 3 would easily be top 5 for me. Props for putting Guacamelee, Ni no Kuni and Risistance 3 on the list.
Unfortunately some genres aren't represented at all like fighting games of racing games. Can't really argue with the list though cause you simply can't include all great PS3 games in a top 25 list.
I've had that game for about a year now and sadly still haven't touched it. Always wanted to try it out but never found the time for it. And now that Bloodborne is coming out I don't see myself starting it anytime soon. It sure does look interessting though and I like the combat system they used. The combat always was one of my main concerns with The Elder Scrolls so this might be a great game for me.
Any game has glitches. From time to time I still discover glitches that have never happened to me before in games I've owned for 15-20 years and invested a lot of time in.
The one with Igraine shooting at walls happened to me on my first playthrough though. Not a big deal cause if you shoot the enemy that is causing the tracking error the game continues normally.
I'd like it to start where 1886 ended. I'd love to have some sequences set in the past that reveals more about the characters and The Orders backstory, and explains the lycans backstory as well. More awesome weapons and enemy variety would be nice too. Maybe implement better melee combat.
Damn it. I should've started playing the Witcher series earlier. I want to play though the first two games first so I probably won't pick that one up for another couple of months.
I'm enjoying the Witcher 1 right now but it's kinda sad to know that everyone will be playing The Witcher 3 while I'm not :D
