Give the first one a rent for the single player, I swear, it's generic weasel popping but the structure of the story and the auenticity Danger Close put into the game really made me respect the people serving in the war. Especially at the end which made me emotional, something any other FPS Mae had yet to do. I had to stay through the credits.
Same here, I played ac1 and 2. But when I played Brotherhood, I got seriously bored, like really really bored, so I skipped Revelations entirely. But oh, man, AC3 looks really awesome and resparked my love for the franchise.
Shattered Horizon is a definite. People say they there are too many modern shooters, but they hardly look at what's going on on PC.
Add Hawken to the list because that is a FPS mech game.
Just get rid of Red Orchestra, I got bored of that in exactly 10 minutes (in Single player that is).
What would rally separate this game from COD are imaginative game modes, and player abilities, not nessecarily kill streaks. But some physical abilities for each soldier, and it'd be a much more interesting game. I liked what I saw so far though.

no, there was no BF3 this year, BF3 came out in october last year. BF4 might have a beta in october next year.

actually, Black Ops singleplayer was actually pretty good. I was surprised considering I hate the COD series. I'm sure Tre-Arch will be fine in the story department.
