I don't think "work" is in their vocabulary. They make a stellar game, then let the community go crazy with it. And truth be told, most of their games weren't made by them at first, they were made by the community. So I don't see Valve as a developer in the traditional sense, I see Valve as one big sharing community. Which is not a bad thing at all.
So you're saying because we play the beta, then see it running on next gen systems, we will be awestruck by it and buy it on next gen consoles instead of the system we got the beta on?

Seriously, look at how many people play this game and look at the content they keep releasing. It's hard not to keep coming back and saying:
"I've never played a better multiplayer shooter this year in 2012 so far"
If this game doesn't win game of the year, I'm going to flip out, because that just blew my mind!

At least we know they're working on it. I do hope content for BF3 isn't slacked off from now on though.
This also reminds me of when Gameinformer got a tour of DICE HQ before BF3 was released, and Karl Magnus Troedsson said they had something special going on on the first floor of the building that GI couldn't see yet.

I know right, if console gamers had their way we'd be on BC4 right now. I can't afford a PC that can run BF3 right now, but I still can play BF2 on my laptop, and I hate how DICE has to cater to the console fans that don't know the true Battlefield.

Porting a next-gen capable game onto current gen consoles without sacrificing too much and keeping the core gameplay intact is something to be applauded. Or maybe your just ungrateful.
Black Ops did have one hellava story. And I wouldn't be surprised considering a lot of movies suck nowadays.
I will end up playing BO2 campaign anyway considering that every COD game somehow finds its way into my house whether I like it or not.
