Then what would draw players to play Rush or conquest? If people who haven't played BF before see TDM as BF without objectives what would be the incentive to play conquest or other modes with objectives? That's why TDM has to be small and simple, in order to keep the main BF modes popular and played more.
I think the rush modes will have smaller maps, that's why the player count will be capped at 32 on PC and 24 on console. Conquest maps will be much bigger though and those maps will support 64 players. Also I hope that TDM will be capped at 18 because I don't want another MOH flaws repeated.
So thanks to the wonders of modern technology, it's actually easier than ever to avoid the more unsavory elements of online multiplayer. And if you're truly averse to teabagging in Halo? Well, there's always Battlefield.
True, I've never had anyone scream into my headset in BC2 but I have been tea bagged.
I was thinking the same thing. That stare creeps me out.
To add to a comment, once DICE shows aerial combat its over for COD, showing something that most gamers have never seen done before will heavily push them to get BF3 over MW3, its only a matter of time.
I think Respawn will have a little more breathing space than most of EA's Devs. For one, they saw EA as a refuge from Acti and it would only make sense for EA to do everything in their power to keep Respawn, so I expect EA to give them a good amount of decision making on their own.
What's wrong with Origin? Why can't you guys just get Origin accounts and call it a day? I don't see the big deal, fill me in.
I also wish that rpthey had mentioned the Project Reality mod for BF2. That won mod of the year multiple times on Mod Database.com
I don't get you guys, you say shooters are getting boring yet there are hundreds of other types of games that are made for different genres. If you're so stuck up about the popularity of shooters then go to Japan where there are a sea of RPG games. You crack me up.
This looks amazing so far. The physics need a little bit of work though.
A long FPS campaign can get boring pretty quick. I think Devs have to find that perfect balance between the campaign being fun and fulfilling. Think about it, RPG campaigns are long because you have to level up and there is a whole story to tell in a fantasy world. In FPSs like COD or BF, They are real world stories and there is only so much you could do or tell in a limited time because it's based from real world things.
I don't care if BF3 doesn't outsell MW3, that just means DICE doesn't have to simplify the game just to cater to the COD crowd.
@Sitris
I have no doubt MW3 will outsell BF3, but what I'm saying is that there are many more stores outside of gamestop. Many people across the world buy games and I'm sure those people across the sea don't go to a north American Gamestop to get their games.
He said at Gamestop, not everywhere you can pre-order.
This is the best news I've heard in a while.
Message to EA. YOU CAN DO WHATEVER YOU WANT, BUT DO NOT MILK BF3 OR ALL HELL WILL RAIN DOWN UPON YOU!
The author said that liking BF3 is the "cool" thing to do. Not for me it isn't. I've been with the BF franchise since it's BF2 port to the PS2. A lot of people are hopping on the BF bandwagon simply because it looks better. They don't care what it has in it or where it came from. For most, it's the first BF game they've seen or paid attention to, and guess what? Most of them are COD players. Just look on twitter and read what people have to say about BF3, it&...
if anybody plays DW, i would like to know why? What draws you to play these rehashed games over and over. I'm not trolling I just want an honest answer.
nice find, the gun design doesn't look like anything modern so it's safe to say that this is a future warfare title. Which is a shame because I was hoping that DICE would make a remake of BF2143 which is also set in the future.
Did you not read my explanation?
