What does he mean by changing guns? I hope he doesn't mean you should be able to tap any weapon you want and have it equipped on the fly, that would break the game.
Why show pre-alpha footage on console anyway? DICE said themselves, they are in the early stages of console porting and that it's going to max out current gen consoles. WHY SHOW IT THIS EARLY? compared to PC it looked meh, animations look good, but the lighting is what brought the game out. They still have time to polish it but I wasn't expecting that, even the smoke looked bad compared to PC. I'm not bashing PS3 but these consoles are become aged. Hopefully this isn't the near final version, it looks good so far but the PC footage blew me away.

Don't overwork your employees though, I love BF but I can't overlook the sweat that devs put into making the game only to have it flop or not sell a much as the time they put in. I'm 100% sure BF3 will be AMAZING, and I respect that DICE is taking their time, but just let your employees have their time too and I'm sure that by release the game will be excellent!
ARMA is like BF's older brother. Ultra Realistic gameplay and its in it's own class of teamplay. I wish I could play ARMA but I might be able to soon when I build a PC to run ARMA and BF3.
We all wanted a game that looked like a movie and played like a game, I believe BF3 is just that!

Every Cod fans argument on why COD is better says that it sells more than other games. Now, we all know Avatar wasn't the best movie in the world but it sold like hotcakes. MW is a good game just because anyone can jump in and play. The depth only goes so far though, which is why BF is preferred to be one of the best war games on the planet because so many things factor into the game and player progression and teamwork is rewarded.
I can't fully agree with you. They obviously only had 10-15 mins on one map in pre-alpha mode so the game is not perfect, of course they would have questions and suggestions in the early stages and also ideas. Further down the line I'm sure DICE will take everyone's comments and suggestions and weed out the ones that really add to the gameplay. Having the same tools and simlar ideas do not make the game different. Let DICE work on Mirror's Edge 2 and BF3. Let them release them however they want too, because frankly EA, your killing BF3 with that Physical Warfare Pack.
