It’s funny how some people promote diversity of viewpoint until somebody says something which goes against their point of view. These flowers would have died in the nineties and early 2000’s. I genuinely fear for the future of humanity.

I feel it for people who can only afford one console and went with XBOX because of GamePass and affordability and it’s perceived value. I spend a great deal of my time now educating families in the market for for a new console the pitfalls of certain choices. Mind you a lot of adults grew up with PlayStation so the only hurdle for them is the price of new games. Once I work into the concept of account share and you know trading used disc games (no online always crap with the exception of GT7 ...

This. I was planning to get mine when FFXVI came out but because supply was still an issue I decided not to risk not getting one and snapped up one as soon as the opportunity arose.

In psychological terminology this is referred to as optimistic bias. I’d even go so far as to call it gamblers fallacy….that unshakeable notion that you going to win big even though the writing is on the wall and despite evidence to the contrary.
So much salt. Sales figures don’t sit well with you? They advertising what games are available NOW. You know, because a console is meant to have games.
