PC crossbuy is different. That's just like saying all my PS3 games are crossbuy because I can share my PSN games to any PS3 with my account.
Problem is with getting 3rd party devs on board, maybe they need to charge a little extra like £/$5 and both has to be purchased on digital format. I am guessing devs/publishers get more money from digital downloads since no retailers are involved, if they don't get make more money from digital sales then Sony could possibly...
Those devs lie. Look back at before the launch of the PS2, PSP or PS3. They all say that it is easy to program/port games onto it, only takes x amount of hours. Actually when the PS3 came out with all those CG tech demos, I remember alot of devs speaking about how powerful and easy it is to develop on the PS3. They were blatantly lying.

never really played san andreas. Actually most GTA games I only play for a few minutes and then get bored.
GTAIV got me hooked and I actually played around 75% which is more than all GTA games put together. I guess GTA IV and all the side episodes were not for GTA fans but for other gamers.

All they know is that COD releases every year.
if the devs know how to promote their iphone game for cheap then yes.
if they are clueless and most likely just computer geeks then get a publisher, they probably have more connections then devs do
killzone 3 in 3d was amazing... first time playing a game in 3D and i was impressed. not sure if my eyes can handle long play times though, my eyes hurt after watching 3D movies so playing games would probably blind me.
i still want to try out 3D gaming properly and my next tv would probably be a 3D tv
ugc is great, just a simple level editor on mario would make every mario fan to buy the game.

true. but video game companies need a fanbase to survive. if we didn't build this culture and community then we would all be left with iphone and social games.

i think cross-platform gaming as something that would be great.
dont think it would be that important, but it could help a small number of people who play games on multiple machines and hoped that their save game could be carried over.
its a shame that steam will get less and less of the top console games/port.
but i guess pc gamers could care less about ubisoft.

anyone remember what the ps3/psp/xbox was like day one? its great to see for yourself the improvements that are constantly being made
sure, early adopters get screwed with sub-par launch games...
but if you are not a pc gamer then the boost in graphics are refreshing and actually feels like next gen is here... if you wait a while, the console just wont have a big wow factor anymore. the price to pay for a brand new games console isn't too expensive in my opnion. especially since you probably waited a year or 2 for it.

tablet and smartphone gaming is good fr titles such as angry birds(any other aiming games), cut the rope, cooking mama, basically any game that swiping motions better than atual buttons...
any flash type games works pretty well with touch screens aswell.
other than having a huge variety on 1 min games its not all that great

True. I think Sony can easily afford to supplement the lost revenue if they offer crossbuy as a digital download only. However, it needs to be available day one on PSN for it to work.
More of a short term idea, but could get more people interested in digital purchases as well as buying Vita with an extra memory card.
People also developing PSN only games have more incentive to port a version to Vita aswell, and instead of charging £/$20 they could charge £/$30/40 for...
