When the PS3 released a bunch of tech demo's all the people were saying how easy it is to develop and they only took weeks/months to produce the demo.
Kojima also said it was really easy to develop for and did't take long to produce the demo.
WiiU wouldn't be too hard to develop for because it is slightly stronger than the PS3 & 360. Most developers right now are just porting their games over to the WiiU. None of those games look next gen at all.
Depends what you class as "legitimately" using a service.
I'm pretty sure Sony just want one PSN ID per user. If you have multiple accounts for multiple countries, then I am not even sure if that is properly allowed. I mean my US account is definitely not legit, my address is in a McDonald's.
Most people abuse the use of PSN accounts from other countries because exchange rates and game prices are normally cheaper in US. There is probably less than 0.01% of u...
Lies.
Don't think it's gonna happen
Alot of people actually said it was easy to develop for on the PS3.
Go back to when they made all those tech demoes... They all said PS3 were easy to develop for.
I enjoyed MGO beta alot and was just waiting for the full version to come out. I actually played the beta alot more than the full version.
Problems MGO had:
Stupid Konami code/pass
Downloading updates toook ages
Not many people have headsets
Euro 2008 - Football was on so most people in europe was watching the games instead of playing online.
OK, last one was probably just me, but I'm sure alot of people felt that as well. ...
Most devs say that games are really easy to develop for when a console is about to release. Not sure why, maybe they just want a little bit more publicity.
Guess it's right, wouldn't hurt to add those optional touchscreen buttons. Although probably only 0.01% of people would ever use it.
I wonder why I got 4 disagrees... I can't think of a single psp game where I would need to use the touch screen instead of the physical buttons. Didn't people say that replicating physical buttons using touchscreen doesn't work?
Why would people want to use touch screen for PSP games when there are good physical buttons on the Vita?
@chasegarcia
disagreed to you because you just totally ignored the comment you replying to and posted a random comment/opinion.
Seekdev was just pointing out how to tell the difference, I only looked at the thumbnails and thought the exact same thing.
Agree, does look good, but that's all it kinda showed, nothing too impressive. That is entirely my opinion. maybe if they slowed it down, we could see the textures, lighting, physics.
I know it is just a tech demo of some sort, but I wouldn't be surprised if someone said that was captured a PS3 game called PAIN.
@friedgoat
how do you know it doesn't start a game with blurry seconds for 20 seconds with this new engine? Plus UE4 isn't ev...
Vita does need its own identity and system sellers or exclusives will give the Vita it's own identity down the line.
Moving units is very important in the beginning since it encourages developers to create exclusive games for that platform. Remember when the PS3 first came out? It sold pretty well but the main problem was the attach rate, not many people were buying games for it.
Cross buy may actually encourage some PS3 users to buy a Vita because they a...
Agreed with microsoft killing rare,
Actually what happened with rare anyway? Microsoft started of the generation with the intention of making great games and having developers on their side. Which was partly why Microsoft bought Rare to have PDzero released on it. Did they lose trust with them? or do they want their first party studios to make more kid friendly games?
What has rare done betweeen the time from the release of PDzero and the release of Kinect? a...
It does have many other controls, but to replace the DS3 and use the vita would be something that I may not be able to do.
I guess for some games it will work, but for others it definitely will not work.
It hasn't been confirmed yet but does the gyros control work with the Vita/PS3 combo as well as how the WiiU handle it? like that baseball tech demo?
Well it did stream video, but these videos doesn't even have to be real time. So any lag would not even matter at all, but the WiiU is different.
Judging from concept video only(the one with baseball, or shooting the miis), the video streamed to wiiU controller is important to gameplay and any lag would probably mess up the whole point of a dual screen. Actually imagine sonic on DS taking a few seconds to jump from one screen to another.
Well, all I am saying is that the v...
I guess it doesn't compare with the Wii U, just not in the same class/league at all.
Using as a controller
+Wii U streams videos to the controller.
-Vita/PS3 probably can only stream basic screenshots(maps/menu)
+Wii U controller has all the buttons console gamers are used to
-Vita doesn't have L&R/2&3
+WiiU controller has more functions such as gyro controls and other features that affect gameplay
-Vita only see...
Cross Buy may work ideally with digital downloads. Sony cuts out the middle-man(retail) so more profits are gained from every purchase. Therefore, Sony can potentially reimburse devs or provide them with a deal for cross buy games.
Also, some games that are PSN exclusive that were planned for a $30-40 release could possibly be charged for $40-50 and have cross buy.
I guess it depends on what Sony's plan on the Vita is.
I think the main problem is that the 3DS has two screens.
Only one of them is 3D so it forces the top screen to be the main screen. would be weird having the touch screen to be the 3d screen since you would cover the 3D half the time. The only way to have 3D work with touch controls is to have a rear touch pad where you wouldn't cover the screen with your fingers.
But anyway, the creativity of the old DS is gone. The DS could be held many different ways and the ma...
I guess that could break the bank.
Onlive's concept was amazing and being able to watch people play was a pretty cool concept I guess. Would be cool if it was implemented else where. I mainly play single player games and don't really get a chance to play single player games with mates anymore. If I was able play single player campaigns with friends and be able to take turns with a switch of a button then it would be really cool.
Loved the concept video for the tech demo, they should just turn this into a game. Get the right people behind this game and turn this into an action RPG(more actiony) and it probably will turn into a masterpiece (or a complete flop).
Yeah, would be nice if Sony added some cool filters.
Some PSone emulators make the games look amazing, even in this day and age.
