Actually, if Sony did that for selected first party games then it would be brilliant.
Or maybe something as simple as every 5 plat trophy from a sony first party title will get you a month free Playstation Plus. or some kinda discount.
Would probably encourage some people to go out and buy more first party titles, especially for people who may have got 4 plat trophies already.
Not saying it would work, but sometimes small details like this en...
I guess it is competing in a sense. Not a direct competition but more of a substitute.
Actually same as all smartphone, tablets etc...
However it probably won't be competing in terms of stealing away exclusives.
Just looked at the mario sales figures. What the hell was SML2. Can't believe I didn't know that existed.
@Ben_Grimm
The great thing about Mario games is that they will always sell even after years of being released.
Once the older games consoles get out dated, they jsut re-release onto another console/virtual console and it will keep on selling.
Oh yeah, 2D mario games tend to sell more.
@jon1234
Disagreeing with someone's opinion about their favourite game series is a little weird. Unless they just wanted to point out his weird typos.
lol... I just made a joke about having the crew from the prestige/nolan movies a few seconds ago.
"Hugh jackman as Solid Snake. christian Bale as liquid snake. Christoper Nolan as Director. Michael Caine as anyone.
There. get the whole crew from The Prestige/any Nolan Movies. "
Would be quite funny, but could actually be pulled off with the fanbase that Nolan has. Nolan loves to have alot of talking and everything explained in detail. Kinda...

:D
/half sarcasm, half actually not a bad idea, would actually be pretty cool.
I'm pretty sure that releasing PSone games doesn't take much time off Sony. This is just to distract gamers away from the fact that nothing is going to be released on the Vita for a while.
why do these covers look a million times better than "platinum" or other cheap re-releases?
do they deliberately make budget versions look like crap so people avoid it?
these collections look ok and i might actually consider purchasng them
reminds me of mega64, when he pushes a tv, ps2 and a motor power supply around for portable mgs.
well the best to play is normally using original machines, but less and less people have sd tv's. they also probably sold/stashed their old consoles.
people rather have a £€$250 that can play vita games as well as psone games rather than just vita games.
more features = better in mine and most others opinions
i am guessing that licensing is one thing.
they also dont want to flood the market all in one go so that non popular games get a chance.
bunch of games out every week makes gamers check every week what new content is out.
by the time all psone games are out the psn should be full of actual vita games, mobile games, psp games.
I doubt the Archos would do anything good
yes it would.
More apps would definitely help.
Live streaming apps would also be quite cool.
Music apps
Comic/manga app
Netflix Lovefilm, VOD apps
Any of these would convince me that I don''t need to carry my ipad around and that my phone will only be used for phone functions.
Probably won't help that much with hardware sales, but will definitely encourage others to bring it out on the streets
Quite a good analysis. Better than any other sites I read anyway. I mean some other big sites didn't even know if it was Big Boss or solid snake
OK. Well, If you only own a Vita then you probably wouldn't have known how limited you were.
"This is a considerable problem if you don’t own a PS3 but purchased a PSOne classic for nostalgia’s sake"
That line still doesn't make sense, what has the person purchased? what is the problem?
OK. the main problem is some people who have 2 accounts from different countries.
Sony doesn't want consumers to abuse the PSN and everyone probably wants to purchase from the US PSN store because it is cheaper. Sony decides to restrict the number of accounts allowed for 1 memory Card.
Here's a solution Sony could but probably wont for people who like to purchase items from other PSN stores. They could have some sort of PSN import store.
Wait I don't understand this article.
"This is a considerable problem if you don’t own a PS3 but purchased a PSOne classic for nostalgia’s sake"
Is it saying that If I do not own A PS3 but a Vita and purchase something from the PS3 PSN store I cannot transfer it on the Vita because I don't have a PS3?
I may have read it wrong, just don't understand what the problem is at the first place. If I own only a Vita then I am on...
I understand what you are saying, but no need to talk about the 360 here.
Definitely true, if you are a mgs fan then you won't lose interest in this game at all.
Actually Fox engine is a multi-plat engine so it would be stupid to release this game just for PS3.
Now I have to decide on which platform to get it on. All versions would be ideal but just seems like a total waste of money, I don't earn enough to splash money around like that. PC version definitely is going to be better but I don't have a gaming PC. Maybe it's time...
let's hope this game doesn't hit the vita.
It would just limit the potential of this game
I wonder how many times his name would appear on the intro.

Minds gone blank but I am sure games like MGS2 had his name all over it. Kinda like how some directors in movies wanting everyone to know that he directed the movie.
