Why is this such an issue, as you will need some sort of internet connect to migrate your PS account, gamesaves and what not to the console initially anyways.
Absolutely love mine for remote play Series X, cloud, and PS5.
I am interested in the reviews for this as I have been using my LG Cloud for my Series X & PS5 Cloud and remote play and it works quite well.
I could have sworn I saw a recent feed where Phil stepped in and said if the employees have Gamepass now that will continue free.

Damn, I must not be playing it right cause in the ship mission alone I put in at least an hour plus alone into that trying to scout, plan my attack, find all weapons collectibles and trying play like Splinter Cell. I love the open missions.
Damn, people will fuss about anything. I turned my Series X on the ad came up, since I had already re-ordered I just clicked and exited out, and life continued. Jeez, I think I turned my PS5 on on something about Spiderman 2 was on a second screen. They paid a lot of money and some think they would not advertise.....
Seems cool to bash MS and Xbox every chance they get while licking Sony's pole any chance they get. Can it just be about enjoying the games and not the names on the boxes that plays them? Gamers are worse than political people.
My buddy and I started the campaign missions last night and we love the open mission combat parts of the campaign which I don't think we have ever seen in a MW game. I like tackling the missions stealthy, sniping in the shadows and he likes to go in guns blazing. From what I have played so far I am enjoying but we mainly play zombies mixed in with some online. I think we as gamers understand everything in life has increased in price but for those complaining over those gamers who are complaining about the price increase yet don't perceive any better value justifying that, come on, that is foul. Gamers are not monolithic and should be free to voice their opinions and concerns without someone behind another screen bashing them over it. My PS Plus Premium is paid through 2025 thanks to having years left on my subscription before they switched but when that expires I am dropping down to the lowest tier, as I don't really play the older games and the games I do like I already own them.
Back when the Saturn came out I remember this like it was yesterday. I was in college and working at Sears. For some reason Sega panicked and pushed up the release date ahead of the PS1 launch so I ended up buying the Saturn instead of the PS1. Now, I understand the Saturn was a 2-D powerhouse but when it released most games were moving from sprites 2-D into a 3-D polygonal plain and every game released on the PS1 and Saturn that wasn't a 2-D sprite based game performed better on Sony...

I disagree. I expected little more like many fans, but if this bare bones approach is fine by many, more power to em. There are too many games to play right now so it really is not an issue.

MS clearly has been moving away from a single console thanks to Gamepass, PC, Cloud, to where you will have access to their games from almost any device connected to the internet with a screen and not need a dedicated console. I mean it is clear they are moving from Xbox at some point. No surprise. I don't think this means they will become 3rd party and put their main franchises on Playstation, other than the franchises they acquired that already have existing PS contracts.

I thought they remade MGS1 for this collection but when I saw the video I was like WTH, it's the PS1 game which looks really dated at this point. I would settle for the Gamecube version w/o all the over the top theatrics action sequences. Will pick this up later on sale.

As a Switch owner, at this point, Switch owners should pretty much know what to expect from hardware that is less powerful than the original X1. It's great for the Nintendo games that we can't get anywhere else, but not so much for anything else if you are looking for great performance and visuals. I am hoping the next Nintendo console will at least be on par with the X1X minimum.
