Funny, but I think there'd be more with people buying that card game I don't remember what the name was, and eyepet. I just bought it to have a high quality cam, and wished my wife would play on Ps Eye, those casual stuff. But sony stopped releasing them in favour of developing Move. Not a bad move (pun intended), but still, I wouldn't have said no to more camera stuff.
Two move controllers + 1 navigation for 89usd (without the camera), I'd be all over it. Sony didn't announce a pack for us people with PsEYE..
I've been told that each brand has their own glasses. The industry needs a standard, and competition in that area. For a whole family experience, (3d movies or broadcast is needed for widespread adoption, not just games) the extra pairs of glasses are too costly, and you are left to the pairs the brand provides. That's off putting.
I tested a 3d led tv at best buy with some 3d video, and it was somewhat flickery and it is quite tiring on the eyes.. Problem comes fro...
Now that is the real achievement. Carmack had mentioned Doom4 will be able to sport roughly 3 times the detail of Rage, because it will run at 30fps.
MitchGE, still shots and 30fps video don't do 60fps *any* justice. Just see them in their silky smooth 60fps glory, in motion. The E3 videos were 30fps, and doesn't reflect the game. It needs to be smooth, fast, and chaotic without hurting your eyes. For that, 60 fps is a must. And not every game has to look like Uncharted 2, which goes for a cinematic look, and has more than double the time to do it (as game engine and physics engine would not need to run faster than 30fps., tell tha...
Fill in the blanks with anything that comes to mind..
I'm having trouble how people can misinterpret such basic language.
Did you expect waving your arm around as if there's a steering wheel would be for hardcore?? The hardcore crowd will drive Forza using a proper wheel, and will use gas and brakes, for starters..
To avoid flickering, you need high refresh rates, sure. That part people understand. However, frames per second is something else, you could be looking at a still image (0 fps) and if you refresh it 60times per eye, there will not be flicker. So a game can be 30fps, but it will not flicker as long as both eyes get enough refreshes.
I don't say 60fps is necessary. I have enjoyed killzone 2 (30fps), BFBC2 (30fps). But they would look stunning if they could have the same graphics at 60fps, which is not possible. That's all I said. 60fps allows for a very responsive feel, and things look great in motion, so still shots or 30 fps promo videos can never do them justice.
That said, COD's look quite good compared to 60fps games, and they look better than several 30fps games.
Come on guys, if this was a Ps3 move game, you'd actually like the graphics..
I don't have an Xbox, and I'm a Ps3 fan, but the disagree and bubble down mob is irritating.
I don't understand why non-trolling simple comments telling positive things about an Xbox game gets so many disagrees. :\
How I wish Kz3 was 60fps. It is dare I say, impossible to have such visuals at 60fps, unfortunately.
Twitter mentions performance is similar to Kz2. (Although Kz3 will feature several rendering improvements and bigger levels, so that's where the hard work goes..)
The video is.. (59.something)
Retro-fitted games will of course will not be made suffer in their 2d mode and will benefit, but for future titles, 2d versions *might* take a hit if the developers or Sony doesn't want big discrepancies between 2d and 3d (for example, water reflections may be left out), so we cannot apply the Super Stardust example. I hope Sony doesn't mandate about how big discrepancies are allowed for 3d, or we are in for loss of quality even in 2d.
The again, developers will be ...
But it would make a lot of sense for people to import their Home avatars into these games. I hope Sony will show something like that at launch. This will also make Home more meaningful to people.
Purposely bad use of English, like other articles looking for hits.
When specifying time, they should be kind enough to let us what time zone it is, the gaming community is global, you know.. (Even for Unites States, which span 4 time zones)
They all look spectacular, all versions..
It only has MLAA in common, which is not a lighting technique. It now has a forward renderer, like GOW3, tho, but it employs a world-space volumetric based lighting solution (unlike screen space solution which cannot account for offscreen objects)
One nice side effect of 3d games is that it would be very convenient and easy to add split screen support to them (except Open world ones), however, games that keep you close throughout can easily add split screen support (still, it would cause some design problems as even non-open-world games employ streaming, so proximity of players would have to be ensured through game design)
