No, people will be pointing and laughing at the PS3 fanboys' continued attempts to bend reality to suit their fanatical desires, while the rest of the world acknowledges how great the graphics and gameplay of Halo Reach are.
Edit for the guy below me: Yes, Ratchet is a reality, but it is a reality of average graphics that are exaggerated and hyped by PS3 fanboys. MGS4 has been outdone by so many games it's not even worth mentioning them all.
KZ2 and Uncharted 2 ...
Gears of War 2 already surpassed MGS4 a long time ago. I never understood why people thought MGS4 game had such good graphics. I mean, they were good, but not amazing.
Now, *going off what we have seen of Halo Reach* yes I would say that it looks better than Killzone 2 and Uncharted 2. It's simply unrivaled. If the graphics stay pretty close to that it will be a beast.
I guess MGS4 was a complete disappointment to you as well since it also is less than 720p. Why is it ok for MGS4 to be subHD but not Halo 3? I see a lot of hypocrisy there.
Well, I personally own most of those games that you guys are talking about and no, I don't find Ratchet or the other games that amazing. In fact, I think Kameo and Banjo Kazooie look better than ratchet, with better textures and lighting.
Oh, and Uncharted looks about the same as Gears of War 2, and Uncharted 2 looks slightly better than either. Not the dramatic difference you claim. No way.
I used to be a fanatical PS3 fan like you, but I guess I woke up after I ...
I don't know which video you watched, but I'd say it is a huge leap in graphics over Halo 3.
We can't make any final judgments as to the quality of the graphics until we see full blown gameplay video, but I'd say that based on what we have seen here Halo Reach is easily among the console graphics elite.
Edit @ guy above
That's true. Uncharted 2 is a very linear game compared to Halo. I don't know why people never take that into consideration.
Xbots never made any sense. Then again neither did the droids.
Everything on the PS3 is worth every penny to the droid, whether it is sh*t or not. I was convinced to buy lots of sh*tty games on the PS3 because they were hyped up by the droids only to find out they sucked.
How funny. People actually think that video was real time? LMAO, I have GT5P and it looks nowhere near that good. Not even close. I am as excited for GT5 as the next guy, but cultivate some common sense people.
As far as I can tell they both seem to contain mature content and are both hardcore games.
Damn, they disneyfied this hardcore game. Purple mist is for pussies.
Resistance 2 looked like doggy doodoo. Very disappointing it was.
I'm sorry but that's just stupid.
When a quality developer like Naughty Dog puts as much as they do into their games you know you are getting your money's worth. How in the world does DLC automatically hurt the gamer? That's nonsense.
All games have budgets and release schedules, you can't keep adding stuff to them forever. Sure, they could release the game next spring and include whatever DLC they are planning, but then the same problem would arise if they wanted to release new DLC later. People would again ...
FFS what's wrong with people? Every game has to ship at some point. You can't just continue to add stuff to it forever.
The only question is, does the game have the quality and content to warrant a purchase FOR YOU. In the case of Uncharted 2, the answer for me is a resounding yes. The last Uncharted was packed full of unlockable content and was worth every cent I paid for it. Uncharted 2 has even more content, so how again am I supposed to be offended or concerned? I know ...
Sure lunatic, I guess I just hallucinated playing great games like Killzone 2 and Infamous already this year.
Killzone 2, Infamous, Uncharted 2, Demon's Souls, Ratchet & Clank Crack in Time are hands down better than what the 360 is offering this year.
Why? For any big game like this we already know the DLC is coming, so why the charade? Why not be upfront about it?
If it is a game you love, any DLC is usually seen as a positive thing.
This game looks incredible and I can't wait for it.
PC gaming is healthy. Retail sales have gone down, but online sales have gone up, and overall the platform has seen year over year growth. More people than ever before are realizing the benefits of PC gaming.
You might not mind, but I hate advertisements on my dashboard/UI. It makes it feel like it isn't mine, like it was just something I am borrowing from a company that they are using to try and milk money from me. I don't like it.
It's a bunch of baloney. A couple of nonessential features doesn't make it worth paying for Xbox Live. I have both consoles and I never use cross game chat, that's right, never. I know some people use it, but I bet you nearly every one of them, if given a choice to play for free or pay for those few extra features, would not pay the subscription. The only reason I pay is because I have to in order to even play my games online. That's it.
2010 is shaping up to be a killer year indeed and it is starting it off with a bang with Mass Effect 2 and then ending with another huge bang in the form of Halo Reach.
