people get so excited over anything, I can't imagine this selling all that well, but then again maybe there are a lot of people who desperately need something else laying around collecting dust.
As Truth... said, even at it's initial $40 price when it came out, the games were a steal. Although, I guess for some it may have been a case of, just couldn't get to it in time, and now it's too late, as prices are starting to sky-rocket (I feel the same way about Ico, where I should've picked it up while it was cheap).
to the Legend of Zelda games for some of the gameplay elements, methinks you could do a lot worse, plus combine that with the great art style and you got yourself a sleeper hit. I'll be picking this up either Tues. or Wed.
I'm willing to give Mass Effect a second go round with ME2 to see if that draws me in, didn't really get into the first one. I liked the fiction and the potential of the story, but I just couldn't stick with it, but I have higher hopes for this one based on what I've heard and researched myself. Also, I will probably get SC: Conviction as well (even though I prefer MGS, there's still enough room on my gaming plate for two stealthy badasses).
because I would hate to have to miss out on this game. Not that I dislike the 360, but just my personal preference for these type of action games I just prefer using the DS3 controller. I didn't like how DMC4 felt with the 360 controller, and assume this would be no different. I'm just saying that I would hate to miss out on this game, because of Sony getting a nerfed port or something.
I still have my Dark Knight, but I traded in that steamy, stinky pile of poop MW2 yesterday. Congrats IW/Activision, you've made the first game I've regretted picking up in a long while. MW2 was garbage, and only saw the success that it did solely on the name and pedigree of the first MW. After beating this game I knew I'd never pick that crap up again.
I have to say I was a little shocked about the scene, but I guess in the context of how the thing played out for me the scene made sense in the story. When the elevator doors opened I was a little disoriented, because what I was seeing (no obvious hostiles), and then the people you're with just open fire. I just never got the urge to pull the trigger, so I kinda hung back followed the group observed the carnage, I started to take fire, so then I shot back. When the scene concluded, my actions...
you needn't look any further than the majority of posts here, and the ones following the article to see the author's point proven (sad), but if people are happy with what they have just let it be. They're getting what they want, it's not like people can't make up their own minds.
They seem to be trying to cram as many features, and "premium" functions to it all the time, maybe to position it to be seen as valuable at that price (God forbid).
, but not completely unthinkable. If you look at what they do to the people that wholeheartedly support them, and then see the blind loyalty that follows. Why wouldn't they do something like that, especially if they manage to spin it in such a fashion that the consumers get sucked in without being the wiser. To the wary, they absolutely would do it, the second they realize that they could get away with it (scary, huh?). That's not to say any other company wouldn't do it, too (after all it's a...
how do we know that this isn't the case where the developers have created the whole time-line of content that is to encompass the entire experience, from the standalone game to all the additional content to come later down the line. Besides, the article said that the dlc was pretty much a separate scenario, it sounds to me like you're still getting a complete game (a pretty big one at that) without the dlc. Unless the game turns out to be horrible, I won't feel cheated that what they are work...
what about people that ran out an snatched up iphones/ipod touches at $299 and $399 (at one point they cost just as much as launch 360s and PS3s), I don't remember seeing too many complaints about those. Psp go has a lot of the benefits of ipod/iphones and is superior as a gaming device, while the DS pretty much only competes on the gaming front.
why would Sony disregard things like local multiplayer, when that was the kind of thing you suggested the PS3 was about when it first launched. At one point wasn't it supposed to pair with up to 7 controllers or something, but at the very least it still does 4. So, why include that if not much of the software available doesn't bother to make use of the feature. Prior to this generation, consoles that had 4 controller ports actually produced games around this (the good ole days for sure).
could you sell or transfer your content on there, I'm assuming it is the same with the Go.
why I don't pay attention to reviews, they tend to want to spoil everything for people, and then they assume that that their opinion matters to anyone else outside their circle of friends, I prefer to make my own judgement, and also to not have my gaming experience ruined.
Seriously, how many times have we all seen reviews with, "wait until ____ and watch how ____ does/looks/whatever". If it's something cool, I can understand the excitement, but keep it to yourself. Hon...
I've played through the 360 version, but so far only the demo of the PS3 version (just picked it up), it's pretty much the same with additional bosses, characters, etc. (which is why I opted for the PS3 copy), but the devs could add the gore back in as dlc at some point I'm sure (technically the gore is still there, just less blood, the animation for shaking blood off your weapons is still there, though).
Not that it is not packed to the gills with content, but I say bring on the "bloody mess/good times/whatever" dlc, (j/k), but seriously the game could retain the same broader appeal, but those that liked the graphic nature of the original version could have it (going out on a limb, but I think it would sell).
what if it is a completely new consumer to Psp, are they excluded from this deal? Or am I to believe that this is only for current Psp owners, as B. Kotex pointed out above. Would be nice if this was clarified.
Shooter, shooter, role playing shooter, ok racer, shooter, niche fighter, and shooter. I don't think anyone is surprised, what you as an xbox fan enjoy. Pretty typical, considering that just about every single one of you posts the exact same thing, but to each there own.
I got on just fine, and everything was as I left it, so no worries I guess.
