They're are just picking up the slack, since Turn-10 ran out and got themselves some PS3s to get their GT5 on (plus they need a high bar to shoot for, should they decide to make another game). Now, GT5 is a great racing game and they know it, but I say don't hate come on over, you just might like it as well.
Armada, eff yeah! I thought Cannon Spike or whhatever that top down Capcom shooter was called was cool too. Just waiting to see what comes up. There was this mech game also, Slave Zero was pretty cool (it always seemed like it was meant for a more capable controller), I could go on.
Forza is hardly a "great" series, as you can apply pretty much all of the niggling nitpicks people have been saying about GT to that game. It's good, but far from great.
I'm sorry, but after reading through some comments, I find it funny how some people (who apparently made up their mind to get this game, considering they state that they've pre-ordered the game) actually consider not getting the game, just because they read some review (or hands on rather). Most of these reviewers are jaded, and kind of pretentious, yeah they know games, but (I'm only assuming) so do most people coming to these gaming sites. Everyone pretty much says, it's the...
if GT5 does do dlc, or something, if it is possible to update standard cars in the roster to premium models, and over time increase the amount of premium vehicles in the game, as well as new vehicle packs. Just thinking to myself, but if anyone from PD sees this, just sayin' would be nice!
You ain't kidding, that's exactly why I buy Nintendo consoles too. Aside from the fact that there are some amazing games, it is just a good contrast to almost everything else on offer.
as stated in one of the earlier comments, why would you ask any gamer if they thought any genre needed to die off, that's just absurd.
So, you haven't heard of any of the Colin Mcrae games, Dirt 1 or 2, Grid, Operation Flashpoint, or even F1 2010? Those are the only ones that come to mind right now. However, I completely agree with your sentiment about what they can do with their incomplete games (pretty much why I've decided that this'll be the last generation of consoles or whatever I plan to support).
"These are just a few things to “beware” of as a Kinect owner. Just as the Wii before it, prepare for the shovelware “mini game” compilations and stick with what works. Simple, streamlined gaming experiences like Dance Central, Kinectimals and Kinect Sports."
Or you can skip all that hokey $#!t, and try to figure out a way to get these devs to bring back some of the long forgotten genres, the 2D games, scrolling shooters (not just this twin stick bs either), (fighti...
haven't seen anything to complain about either, and am having a blast with this game as well. Funny thing was, I was going to skip this game, and get NFS: Hot Pursuit, but I'm gonna end up skipping that instead, bought Black Ops, and finished off paying my pre-order for GT5. The shooter that I am really mostly looking forward to, Deus EX: Human Revolution (I don't need that many as they are mostly the same, just sayin').
that would be the 3DS, lol.
yeah, I have to agree that it is a little off-putting that you can still bounce off of such a barricade, and use that to your advantage (unless they're still doing that penalty where you're forcibly slowed for a short time), I actually prefer if you were to break through, it has the same effect, but it is more immersive (besides DiRT 2 does it pretty well). It would be fine to me if there was a threshold that you would reset onto the track if you crossed (after all it's not open w...
what I want to know is, if I imported the RB1 playlist to RB2, is that file playable in RB3 or do I have to import from the 1st game again into RB3? Yeah I know I have to do it for RB2, but just wanted to know if the save for the RB1 would just load into 3 (I'm only asking cause I no longer have the 1st game, just 2 and 3).
That's my reason for picking it up.
as it is my understanding that they wanted this dlc free on the 360, and how is that hurting gamers. What they did isn't hurting gamers either (they're just getting pissed because the discount was passed on to someone else). Yeah M$ has the right to their charging policies, as does Valve have the right to give out free dlc or whatever. The 360 gamers don't miss out, they just have to pay, but that seems more like M$'s doing.
get your game right, or you'll be the only one deserving to be booted in the balls.
seems a little better fit-wise (as it is just about flush with the system), it adds 3 extra usbs (one of the ports on the ps3 remains accessible), and all the card readers, it doesn't have a remote otherwise they are both relatively comparable.
put that $@!# out already, oops guess that's not helping, sorry I mean meh (now can I please have one).
Although that is a choice each individual needs to answer for themselves, but for my 2 cents, hellz yeah. All the other platforms are well and good, I enjoy them, but PS3, I guess I just enjoy a little more (at least until the 3DS comes out, maybe).
He's probably never played a GT game, but as the sayings go, "baby steps, you gotta crawl before you can walk."
