that is one of the hardest to find games around, at least it is if you only consider good games.

the only thing i don't like about the game is having to wait so long before i can play it. :(
the demo for just cause 2 was pretty much unique, most devs don't spend that much on a demo, most of the time they just take a level out of the game and let you play part of that, an altogether simpler way to create a demo.
the option to actually play as a women in game is a good start.
i played it, sometime between half and hour and an hour in, i started getting motion sickness and had to stop, never touched the game again after that.
that's nice, now hands up anybody who can watch that at full resolution.

i was worried they had removed the option to create a female character when i started reading the article, but it seems you can, which is good news, obsidian, take note.
as for the origin of the character, it's a shame they didn't give you the option of choosing the race and origin as they actually did have an effect in the first game unlike most rpgs where they just affect stats and appearance, so i guess it is a bit of a step backwards.

as you can probably tell, i don't have a problem with displaying my name, but i disagree with forcing others to display their real name, it should be the user's choice.
all this guff about security, blizzard know the name the user has given, which may or may not be their real names, forcing them to be displayed on the forums is taking things a step too far.
they're going to lose a lot of players over this i bet.
we all know sony don't provide a free online service because they love their customers, they do it because they think they can get more customers with a free service.
i don't pay for gold, that's my protest against ms charging for online play.
i don't support ms charging to play online when nobody else does, so i don't pay.
i will not tell others that they're wrong to pay though, i have paid to play mmos in the past so i'm in no position to criticise anybody.
i can only do what i think is right.
i will say this however, if you don't agree with ms charging, just don't pay.
i played the demo and i know the game suffered due to the lack of control options on the psp, not to mention that analog nub is bloody useless, bring it to the ps3 where you have a proper joypad with a decent analog control and you've got a winner of a game.
it looks like a great game but i just can't bring myself to buy it for the psp.

the ea servers are just doing matchmaking from what i've read and one of the players hosts the game.
dragon, when you say the publisher gets no benefits that's simply not true.
firstly, most games are traded in to buy new games, i would say the biggest beneficiary of this is ea with their annual roster update, identikit sports games.
second, many store rely on these preowned sales to stay open when they cut into their own profits selling the publisher's games below rrp, without the preowned sales income they might have to start charging full rrp, which would probably ...

drm on downloads is one thing, although the fact is it does not stop piracy, but tying a game to a single user forever? fuck no.
